For the media and the listeners, getting the deal done is the main thing.

Would definitely not give up gibbs for a marchbank and a jarryd lyons... which is what carlton are doing.
Terrible outcome for carlton; give up an A grader for an unproven, injury prone swingman and a solid B grade small midfielder...

SOS seems determined to stack Carlton's list with most of the players GWS can't keep.

I can't see how it's a winning strategy. Most of the GWS players at Carlton don't look up to it.

Also $500000 per year for for Tyrone and then probably $700k minimum for Jaeger and that's some serious cap space taken up. Lucky they don't have to keep to theirs.

Likely no roughy (insurance is probably paying his wage?) and i don't believe they ever really used buddy's money other than on frawley.

So yeah they are probably right at the limit after vickery, mitchell and jaeger... But it's not impossible.

Just because a Blues supporting SEN commentator thinks 13 and Lyons for Gibbs is fair trade does not mean that is actuaully a deal being discussed.

Though at 24 Lyons would be a good fit for the Blues.
