just on SEN, they said the team was melbourne, not us

Sen said Hurley would commit within 48 hours of Hooker signing ...wrong
Sen said Carlisle would be a Carlton player ..lock it in they said.......wrong
Sen said Sloane would be going to Stkilda .. Ox said done deal .. ..wrong
All were wrong .

They get very little right.

not saying they are right and wrong. just correcting the misinformation that they said it was us, they said a team with red and blue

We do have Carlisle and unless we think Goddard is bust I don't see the point especially if we are paying close to 900K which we will have to if reports that is what the Tigers are offering.

Please understand this , sick of going over it.
What if Carlisle gets injured ...?
Have watched Goddard all year long way from it at the moment .
No one is saying anyone is bust big guys take time not five minutes .

Hurley & Carlisle gives you options both forward & back.
We need lots of players .

I have no problem with us having all of Carlisle, Goddard and Hurley on the same list. If Goddard can't crack a game, tough t***ies. We may be able to play them all back or it may mean Goddard becomes as swing man that can pinch hit in the ruck.

That's not my issue. It's the cost of Hurley and unless he's told someone that he will leave as a DFA (which I see as highly unlikely) then I wouldn't even bother because we need all our first round picks for midfielders.

We certainly need lots of players. I said up to 8 to be a top 4 side but was slammed for it however you don't pay someone 900K just in case of an injury. That is your 200K player. And yes Goddard will take time but how does he play if Hurley and Carlisle are in the side. Richo isn't known for liking to many talls in the backline. As for being options both back and forward, well that maybe true but we don't need any more tall forwards unless we have a spate of injuries to talls and again that's your 200K player. If reports of around 900K is true that means we have spent 1.5 million on 2 backmen where as most clubs seem to be able to get ones from opposition sides for much less than that. IMO its madness at that price or close to that price and then there is the matter of using a trade pick also.

Lets start getting quality mids because the best backman in the AFL would have struggled yesterday.

When I heard was this afternoon and they said a team in red, that had a head coach that spent some time at Essendon.

Sorry I presumed they were talking about Richo, not sure if Goodwin spent some time at the Dons?

It was definitely Melbourne. They even eventually said the team. Goodwin was at Essendon for quite sometime. I'm not even sure Richo was at Essendon at all.

all good mate, thats what i interpreted it as, as well, but then they said their jumper had blue and it had pink on the weekend, then they just came out and said it was melbourne

It's not misinformation at all, Mark Robinson said today on SEN that St Kilda were favourites to sign Hurley.

The other blokes were saying that Melbourne were offering 900k, not that Hurley was signing with them.

He will not go to Melbourne, Richmond or anywhere else if what I'm hearing is correct. Money is not the sole reason, he will sue the shit out of Essendon and get mega bucks, again, if what I'm hearing is correct.

This is a 10 year trail of destruction for Essendon, an absolute disaster.

You all know that

A) we have got 105% of the SC this season
B) we have got 400k plus gifted o us by the Essendon drug scandal
C) the SC is going to go up substantially next season

900k is the new 600k

Hurley? Who knows. But we're are cashed up

Plus the salary cap is about to go through the roof with the new tv rights deal.

I really enjoy your posts BS, but I don't think I have ever enjoyed a post as much as this last line.

Shadenfreude is a beautiful thing

Robbo agreed with Andy Maher it was Melbourne at 1pm today. And even if he sues he isn't going to play for much less than the best offer. Its not like he owes our club anything.
