Surely Hawks don't get JOM & Mitchell

Bloody hell if we are talking Rockliff and basically anyone of value linked to us as two firsts which is rubbish. Than there's no way they get both! Mitchell just as good as others talked about. If omeara takes 1 late first round. Then no way they get both.

Although someone said Breust was on the table. I'm sure they'd build him up being an AA 40 goal forward premiership player. When you say it like that 4 first rounders coming back... (insert sarcasm) for the simple readers!

Go saints!
Bring on trade period!

When wright plays you know what you get, billings is so hot and cold or lately more cold and freezing!

Yeah but a cold game for billings is still 15 touches.... Has Wright even got that many this year?

Pretty sure we are looking at Eric Mackenzie and he is 28

What will Mackenzie cost is what I'm curious about? Surely a 3rd rounder would be fair....

You would hope we only look at him if he is cheap

Wrights kicked key goals from his pressure. Billings didn't have his set shot boots on this year! Each bring unique talents to the team and was no secret we won 9 of last 12 with wright in the team versus when we didn't.

People prior have talked Mckenzie as a second round. But I would think because on big coin and since WC want to shed it. It might be in their best interest to accept our offer because we can afford him without denying our supposed war chest

He had 122 super coach points against the Tigers on August 20 so he can't be too cold late season.

More consistent? Wright gets 8 touches a game ffs..

Wright has got plenty of ticker but Billings is 100x the player, I'll take the team of Billings' thanks.

But he consistently gets those 8 touches :drunk:

You know what Wright's role in the side is don't you?
I'm pretty sure everyone knows Wrights role but he's defending Billings from someone saying he'd rather a team of Wrights over a team of Billings. Billings is copping a lot of hate after a quiet season.

Exactly. A quiet, injury interrupted, season. I wish people would get off his back. His class is there for all to see, all he needs now is the fitness. I loved Wright's endeavor and toughness, but what's the point in comparing them, they are different players.

You rate everyone at the Saints as worth nothing though. I guess you think we over pay for everyone we trade in then? You must have have thought we turned turds into nuggets when we sold Big Mac and Stanley for good prices.

I reckon you have no idea how to rate players. Steven is a pick 1 to 3. Is that rating him high enough? Sorry I think I rate players honestly.

Not so sure with some of the post earlier

Billings had a poor year and I've said I questioned some of his performances throughout the year, clearly could've been better. I think every coach in the league would love a team of Wright's...that doesn't mean talent, it means playing with guts and playing for your teammates and for the jumper. Nathan Wright is one of the best at the club in that space.

Because Billings doesn't play for his teammates or the jumper....

lonie, Gresham, billings,Sinclair are all too similar surely one or two of them are being made available.

Probably not Gresham. Lonie is probably the odd man out. He's a good player but maybe best for Te saints and lonie himself if he's moved.
Lonie is a small forward, Billings a half forward/wing, Gresham can play inside or outside mid and Sinclair can play wherever. Wouldn't just look at their height.

I think we can all pick the ones who would attract a high pick but different clubs see different things in players. Liam Jones and Jack Anthony are perfect examples. Cloke attracting a club has surprised plenty of people who think his time has been. You always like to say any player at any club barring St Kilda is worth thirty first round picks but anyone on our list is crap and wouldn't even get interest from another club. I'm not saying Lee or Eli will go but there have been stranger trades than those two. We have cleaned up gleaning players from other lists but normally clubs like hawthorn and Geelong get trades done by parting with fair value for targeted players. I heard Geelong were very keen on Geary a couple of years ago, at the time most of our fans would have helped pack his bags for nothing. In short just because you don't rate a particular player does't mean everyone does even if you hear it from Kornell.

I think they would like Wrights attack but 22 Wrights would be a disaster, I love the way he goes about it but you also need skill and class.

I'm specifically talking about Nathan Wright, has nothing to do with Billings at all.

You talked about questioning Billings' performance and in the next breath started raving about Wrighty playing for the jumper. It certainly appeared like you were comparing them.
