Theres some serious smokies in WA, id happily take 3 of these all available in those above mentioned picks:I think the top dozen players in this years draft are quite good. I think there are still good prospects in the top 30 but we can get a real gem if we keep pick 10.
It would have to be a pretty good deal for me to be happy about letting it go.
Disagree on just about every word of this post.Points wise it works.
Armo's had 1 good year out of 10 and probably should have been traded last year.
It isnt actually that silly.Gold Coast would run away laughing maniacally.

Id rather the extra picks for steele and some smokies if we can move on some depth like shenton lee etc.Armo, pick 10 and pick 38
For
Pick 6 and pick 27
What have points got to do with anything except F&S and academy picks? It isnt actually that silly.
We use 27 on Steele.
Pick 21 and 23 are worth 1633 points or pick 7.
I reckon one genuine alternative is 10 + Armo for pick 8 and pick 27 from GC.
Then we use 27 on Steele and have pick 8 to use on a gun kid (e.g. Taranto). An upgrade in the draft.
the part I bolded & underlined... I'd like that to be us & I'm sure our coach does too. Means they win possession inside & dish it outside & spread...I don't need to suit any argument.. I'm giving you 2 very good examples whereby contested possession is not the main ingredient to be successful.. I think we have enough inside mids .. we need to look at outside runners as a priority.. we won most of our games thru sheer unrelenting pressure which counter acts the lack of winning contested ball. We were good against the contested ball kings in the bulldogs because we pressured them around the ball by not allowing them to handball thru traffic because the bulldogs usually have 5 or more players around the ball, and once they get their hands free you're stuffed against them once they spread.
Anyway I've made my point and made yours
I reckon we need top notch qualityId rather the extra picks for steele and some smokies if we can move on some depth like shenton lee etc.
Drew Carey and Wayne Brady for pick 10?Everything's made up and the points don't matter. This is getting to be like Whose Line Is It Anyway
Rors, they win it because they have more numbers at the contest . That's why you don't see them have a quick kick forward out of stoppages. Once you pressure the dogs and don't allow them to use their hands in congestion, you can beat them.the part I bolded & underlined... I'd like that to be us & I'm sure our coach does too. Means they win possession inside & dish it outside & spread...
Exactly what I want us to be, in addition to our great pressure
On points that ranks Armo as a pick 17. Probably about right imo.
Given we have Dunstan and Ross in that position (and Acres and Steele) I dont mind this as an alternative option.
This board does have the shit talking ability to fabricate a rumour and have it gain enough legs to make it into the Herald SunCan someone make up a rumour? I'm bored as ****.

We've been killed in clearances regularly but you'd like to trade out our best clearance player? Just don't get it.Overrating Armo mate
I'd do that and run like a bandit. It isnt actually that silly.
We use 27 on Steele.

My understanding is that they didn't mind losing the contested ball because of the work they did off the ball in causing turn overs, then their foot skills helped them maintain possession and score. How do they win the ball out without winning a contest?
A good contested ball winner will change those 50:50 contests to 70:30 contests. The game begins with a contest.
Not saying outsiders are not important.
Lets look at brownlow winners and average CP's the year they got it.
Fyfe: 18
Priddis : 15
Ablett: 15, 13
Watson*:14
Swan: 13
Judd: 14, 12
Cooney: 10
Bartel: 10
Goodes: 8, 8
Cousins: 10
Ricciouto: 10
Buckley: 11.5
Black: 12
Ackermanis: 9
Contested ball winning has always been part of what these champions do well, and seemingly its getting to be more of a factor of recent times. Though to get the Browlow obviously other skills are needed as well.
Steven 11
Armitage 10
Dunstan 8
Ross 8
If the ball goes to ground and Priddis, or Ablett or Fyfe are nearbye, there ARE no 50:50 contests.
Mate I believe with the natural progression of Dunstan, Ross, Acres, Gresh, Weller, Newnes along with adding Steele into that midfield Armo is expendableWe've been killed in clearances regularly but you'd like to trade out our best clearance player? Just don't get it.
