Just so everyone knows Lids has NOT requested a trade. He has expressed interest if we can get the deal done he'll go if not he’ll stay. He loves the club so he is happy to stay if we can’t make a deal. I was thinking about this last night and more of me thinks unless Geelong spew up overs then Lids stays. Pisses me off how none of their supporters want to give up anything decent for him, they think they can throw up a shitty pick or a cooked Vardy and it’ll get the deal over the line. Richmond should be clear with the pussies. Trade quality for quality or FO. Lids isn’t your run of the mill footballer. He is a complete package when fit and will probably help deliver a premiership to them.

Exactly, he has agreed to go if a trade can be facilitated and that is a lot different to requesting a move. He's also still contracted, so if they want him to move it'll cost plenty.
Trade Radio is giving me shits this morning, shouldn't expect any better from Lloyd and Cornes but still struggling with their logic. They're discussing Squibbs earlier and said even though Adelaide have been nominated by his management, he's contracted and if the crows want him they'll rightly have to cough up plenty in order to get the deal done, yet when discussing Lids, same situation excepting our player hasn't even actively nominated the cats, we should be prepared to accept peanuts. Given his age and recent injury concerns I reluctantly agree, but at the moment nothing good is being offered. The cats are offering peanuts, we are entitled to a lot more than that for one of our best players who most importantly is under contract.

One of them also wanted Pickett (pick4 2014) thrown in as steak knives in the Marchbank deal.

Since lids has not been up front and very strong in his desire to leave I think it may have played out this way.
He kept hearing that he was up for trade. Early he kept saying it's all noise I'm not going anywhere. Then as it kept going he said I'm not going anywhere unless club wants to trade me.
During all this time RFC NEVER came out and said lids going nowhere it's all crap. Never.
Maybe then lids thought well they might be open to trading me I better look out for myself now too and hence the Geelong talk.
Point is if RFC said straight up at the start of all this talk that lids is def goin nowhere I reckon this all goes away.
