Harrison Petty is another one to keep your eye on. He was ranked slightly ahead of Oscar by most that I saw but we passed on him to take Clavarino.

I was pretty keen on Petty but I am pretty happy with Clavarino, looks like he could be anything.

Yeah Petty looks a gun, I picked him for Carlton for the Bigfooty draft. He looks like another Mc Govern type with really strong intercept marking, he came from nowhere to shoot up the draft order. Melbourne got him I think, he looked a bargain. They have really filled their KP stocks up this year.

Clark for me is Sloane.

I certainly don't get Zorko, Ziebell or Higgins!

I can see him becoming a bit of a Higgins though, he has a bit of a smooth glide as he moves across the ground. Definitely more that frenetic element of Rory Sloan though, he seems to have multiple dips at the ball like RS anyway and seems to like getting in tight to contest. I think he has more scope to develop into a more pure outsider like Higgins long term. That play in the All stars where he ran from the kick out to set up a goal has me hoping anyway. I love Higgins as a player, he has a very good range of strengths since he got over his injuries. The similarities are that both are deceptively quick, strong and classy I guess.

I also think the way Clark attacks the ball in the air when flying for his marks is Sloane-like, along with his attack on the ball or man, and Sloane also started on the outside running end to end before working his way in, which I think Hunter will probably do.

I think Higgins is just about the perfect comparison just the half back mid version
All the silk /strength overhead

Didn't Petty bust his elbow just before the draft? Only a minor fracture but if we ranked the two equally...

I doubt Clavarino will play next year though so not really an issue.

It will be interesting comparing Clavarino to Petty as we had the choice of both but chose Oscar. Hope we got it right, (I'm sure we did but we won't know for 3 or 4 years most likely).

On top of what Barrels said recently about how HedgeFund from the D&T board has coached Nathan Murphy, I came across this interesting post from Pies4life (from Draft Central with Bishop/Balmer)
