Yeah, that's a terrible look and could end up costing us a fine if true. You aren't allowed to be tampering around while their season is going. The AFL will use it as an excuse to take our draft pick back off the Hawks and give it back to them.

Have you guys heard the breaking news coming out of Perth, Nat Fyffe has agreed in princilple of a transfer to StkiIlda next year for a reported 1.5 mil per year. Just announced on Perth radio. Fantastic player, but is he worth 1.5 mil? Could be the icing on the cake for a flag though.

It's the first of May mate not the first of April.

A Perth radio station has claimed Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe has agreed a multi-million dollar deal to play with St Kilda from next AFL season.

The Dockers have declined to comment on the veracity of the claim, attributed to a loose-lipped Saints board member. Brad Fitzgerald, co-host of the ‘Carmen & Fitzi’ program on WA-based radio station 96FM, said he had a “massive scoop” on the future of the 2015 Brownlow medallist.

“The offer is worth $1.5 million a season and it is - as far as legally wise - it’s virtually accepted,” he said on Monday morning.

“He can’t sign yet but it’s basically a done deal and he is going to St Kilda.”

Fitzgerald said he had been told the news by a Saints executive. “I can’t name names but this has come from a high-ranking board member of St Kilda,” he said.

I'm a footy pessimist, if he wins me a granny I'm all over the deal, if we just miss out and lose players I hate him and everyone involved. It's what we need to start becoming a serious threat though so if true it's a huge boon.

That's all good and well but how many honest soldiers do you see in Adelaide's 22? They don't accept that kind of player anymore, the game's moved past them imo and all the teams who still carry them are the ones nearer to the bottom than the top. Except Richmond but we all know how that went when they played an actually good team that doesn't suck interstate.

dont disagree with that at all, which is why i find the 2 year extension to wright a bit frustrating. but if i'm chosing between lonie and wright, i'm really choosing between depth if i dont see both players on the list long term or part of our best 22. when it comes to depth i would rather a multi positional player who is hard at it and can compete against a player who's stuck in one position and has concerns over his ability to compete 1 on 1/hold his ground
