If we walked away with a Kelly and Zac Jones plus a moneyball like Tucker, I would be very satisfied.

Just kelly would be completely incredible.

Just jones and hitting the draft with hawks pick circa 3 would be bloody fantastic.

The combination of those 2 (losing the hawks pick too naturally) would be legit masterful.
'Very satisfying' wouldnt begin to describe it

waldy mentioned a little while back that Kelly's preference is St Kilda. Perhaps we've simply said to Kelly's management "we will match whatever they offer." We certainly have the cap space to match whatever Norf offer.

Don't mention that, you'll have your credibility trashed on the North board.

IMHO our best result is to take our 2 top 10 picks to the draft and jag a Free Agent/s. If we assume our team will not be ready for a premiership until 2020 then it gives the 2 young guns 3 seasons of development and any FA's we jag this year will still only be around 29 - 30 years old. Lets put faith in our recruiters to nail those 2 top 10 picks and if we happen to also get Rockliff and Martin then we are definitely going to give 2020's flag a huge shake.

I'd be pretty happy with just Jones, Tucker and our two first rounders this year.

Kelly would be cherry on top but would also probably require us to trade back into the first two rounds somehow.

Can you name any club where they have traded big twice for a tall back

Most seem to draft one or two high as opposed to trading for them. We haven't spent high picks directly on a backman in recent times other than goddard at about pick 20.

Doesn't change the fact clubs don't always fill their backlines with late picks though. Not looking to argue, just think whether it be through trade or draft, most decent backlines have a couple of high picks in there.

Seen buddy's name mentioned money wise in regards to that sort thrown at kelly pushing out a few youngsters. Worth remembering Sydney were playing with cola before buddy and have lost it. That's 10% they wouldve have been working and planning for gone suddenly.

We don't have this issue and have planned for this money being available. Let's use it instead of fronting up future salaries to reach the minimum for once.

Also amused at the no to dusty for his off field behaviour. There is a drug problem with the youth of Australia, let alone young blokes with heaps of cash who can't have a beer cos it'll **** their skin folds. It's not ideal but to think our entire playing list is squeaky clean (save jake cos of his snapchat) is foolish. Every club would have this.

Also if jake and dusty wanted to get together and cause mayhem they wouldve already. Pretty sure fisher is mates with that group, wouldn't be hard for him to get an invite

Great call.

If we honestly believe / know that's the case, why get involved in a bidding war. You know it makes sense

Got to be honest and say I can't think of one. Certainly none that have won a flag in the last 10 years
