Just for arguments sake Blakey is the 7th best player in the draft and thus represents pick 7.
Would you trade Pick 13 for Pick 7?
Would you trade Pick 26 & 33 for Pick 7?
Would you trade 38, 39, 40 for Pick 7?
I think for most of those you would.
I mean we dont know how early or how late we need to match.

Mills was bidded on pick 2 by Melbourne we matched it and our next pick was in the 50's
Is Mills worth pick 2? i wouldnt say he is currently.

Clayton Oliver (Pick 4) then anyone else?
Those around the mark Charlie Curnow (Pick 12), Jade Gresham (Pick 18), Eric Hipwood (Pick 14), Tom Phillips (Pick 58), Daniel Rioli (Pick 15), Tom Doedee (Pick 17), Blake Hardwick (Pick 44),...... There are a few others that could be in this list.
Stop with the doom and gloom! I challenge everyone to do a best 22. When you do, you will be making some tough decisions on good footballers as to who to leave out.
We were a bees knob from finishing top 4 last year with the same players. Yes - our last game was horrible but with our age profile, we are likely to get better rather than worse even with no A-grade additions.
The main worry age-wise is Kennedy. He is the most likely to drop off a cliff. Grundy, McVeigh, Jack are also in that bracket but they are more replaceable than JPK. It is imperative that Heeney and Mills go to that next level in the midfield. I'm backing them in and putting $20 on Heeney for brownlow next year.

Wylie Buzza went at pick 69.
Trade radio did a redraft this week and the consensus was that Mills would go 3 behind Oliver, and Curnow.

Mills was bid on pick 3, Heeney was pick 2. Check out his draft year, it's been a very lean year. The only midfielder I would say whose better than Mills is Oliver. I think you're being a little harsh on Mills.....

Pick 3. And his selection is relative to his draft year. Going through the names quickly and I am not sure there is that many that followed him that you’d take before him. A few maybe. Certainly looking at the pick we had and the players that followed I think you’d still match that yes.

For my quick 5 minute list I did quite well compared to the professionals (I didn't look at rookies either).
Hopefully, we'll add Ryan Clarke in a year or two.

If a team doesn't win a premiership it doesn't mean their game plan is bad, or their game plan won't hold up at the pointy end of the season.
I think that our coaching and game plan is horrible at the moment especially with the team we have. If we don't change this, I don't think that we can win a premiership. I guess thats my opinion.
