Can I suggest a few things to everybody?

- Take a deep breath, and;
- If you have to preface your contribution with "if it's true", it may not be worth getting as worked up about it as it may feel, and;
- Damien Barrett will literally sift through bags of garbage in a bid to generate attention - lying seems to be basically like breathing for him, and;
- My young nephew has recently debuted an outstanding party trick where he drops his pants and pantomimes speaking out of his arse. The content is a little bit tasteless, sure, but it's got a better chance of being accurate than basically anything you're going to hear from those ethically challenged leeches on Trade Radio.

Just be careful when the young fella clears his throat :eek:.

Ok that’s well and good playing mind games with everybody..but how about Lobb, Langdon etc.

Are we gonna wait to the last minute as usual or are we gonna bring anyone in on Monday or Tuesday at a leisurely pace like a normal club.
From memory, over 20 of the 28 trades done lady year were on the final day.

Lots to play out, sometimes showing your hand too early can bite you.

We actually did the first trade this year (Conca) so I am hoping it is all strategic.

Agree there Big Fella, if for one minute any thinks that Hogan is not across the stratagy being adopted their delusional.

Absolutely. Hogan would fully know what's going on, and if we're seriously not going to pursue him then we would've given him good reason to make sure he didn't hate us and could still come next year. If we're serious of course, which I don't think we are.

I don’t mind 11 for Kelly as long as we get something else back. We need more midfield flare. Kelly will come around once he’s embraced by our indigenous lads, who seem pretty tight.

Regarding Lobb, Channel 7 have reported 'someone' has said that what we have offered for Lobb is a disgrace, anyone know what we offered?

I get the feeling this “AFL Insider” that has been referenced is just a Vic media member with an axe to grind.

Mahoney really shot Melbourne in the foot by saying they can't get May without losing Hogan. Told the world they wanted to ship off Hogan as they're desperate for May, and Freo know that. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves until more trades play out. Beams trade holds the key, then Neale
Good post

Seriously I hope it’s a joke

Let’s say we don’t trade Neale and don’t get pick 5

But then we use 11 on a bloke who is the next Des hedland and who doesn’t want to play for us

And Lobb for who knows what yet

So all that and no young guns except for later mid 2nd rounders

Now I’m starting to lose my ***** a little. Faith is waning but trying to stay focused

Didn’t Peter Bell say we weren’t going to be going after Tim kelly

I doubt that we seriously are. Putting an offer like 11 on the table calls out WCE to offer a better deal, Kelly's manager for mismanagement of his situation in saying WCE are the only WA option and Kelly himself if heading back to WA is actually a priority.

The stance is more of a middle finger to everyone involved than a genuine offer IMO.

Ok I’ve tried to think we’re playing a brave game but what in the actual **** if we’re putting pick 11 on the table for Kelly.

Are we just trying to piss off every team?

Hogan wants to come here. Lobb wants to come here. We need forwards. Get the bloody deals done.

Neale doesn’t want to be here. Fine. **** him off.

Kelly doesn’t want to be here. Why the **** are we going for him.
Agree. Made me nervous Bell captured on TV saying words to the effect that as he's only been in the job for 3 days he would take it personally as a feather in his cap if he got Neale to stay. Why was it all about him? Did he piss Harley off as well, trying to impress Neale?

Reading too much into it - it's an off the cuff remark, you obviously want to impress when you've just started a new job. What's good for him is what's good for us.
