Yeah I dont tend to believe the tweets as such, but that doesn't mean the premise of them is wrong.

Weve spoken about these kids all year, weve met with them and we were also at the forefront of the inclusion of pick trading.

Whether we can get a deal done is another thing, but we will definitely be enquiring.

Purely premature excitement

Can we ask the AFL to trade our future first. I realise that it's against the rules but thought that I saw somewhere that you can make an application. I think that the AFL will go for it if it means that they get draft night action. Also the fact that Reid mentioned that the AFL would want draft night pick trading is a little telling.

The AFL can make exceptions. If we have 2 firsts this year I'm sure they'll let us trade next years

The negativity on here seems to be solely based on port having slightly better picks than we do.

Just watching the last Showdown on Fox - McGovern didn’t play for us that day, Hombsch, Pittard, Polec and Wingard did.

Reckon we will be ok after the draft - get our side with less injuries and the further development of some youngsters and we will be contending again.

They keep letting Geelong do it. It's not like they could look at our list and say we're putting its balance in jeopardy by trading away a first round pick next year.

From Josh himself "I barely recall my meeting with the Crows brass, but I do recall it was in St. Kilda. I remember the guys -- Matt Rendell, Hamish Ogilvie, the late Dean Bailey and David Noble -- explaining where they thought I fitted into things in Adelaide. I was somewhat pigeon-holed as a ruckman at Essendon but Adelaide saw me more of a forward and even a defender. I remember 'Bails' asking me whether I could play on Kurt Tippett and how I would go about defending him."

Why did you post something that proves you were wrong, to defend your initial claim

You said he was brought in as a defender; and the quote above demonstrates he was not!!

The amount of people who don’t read articles/interviews they post to make their point astounds me

I think 2 AND 3 is a bit excessive. I just want Jack

I want Rankine now with pick 3 and back ourselves in to grab Lukosius in 12 to 24 months time.

GCS draft Lukosius at pick 2
We snag Rankine with pick 3 - 8, 13 and 16

Then in 12 months time 2019 first and 2020 future first as well. Say 16 and 18

Good on Kane. Doesn’t actually mean anything.

Doesn’t mean the Gold Coast have any intention of accepting any offer we have made. That’s assuming we have even made an offer.
There is word Gold Coast are very much into future first round picks. Make of that what you will.

I’ve got a fear the AFL are going to put something together to stop the talent drain from Gold Coast.

Right just as they recruit some good SA kids.
