At the moment there is nothing more than rumours and journo speculation that Daniher wants to go to the Swans. I’m going to just wait and see as there is a long trade period away. Just waiting for the news report that he wants to go to the hawks and them only.

It’d bea huge risk to offer Daniher any more than 2 years, lest we end up with another Tippett-esque millstone.

And yet I suspect it’s a risk the Swans will take - as the marquee forward is critical to the marketing department.

Here’s just hoping our first round pick doesn’t head south. We have a nasty habit of getting pantsed come trade time.

Reid has never had to be accountable in defence.

Reid is a very decent intercept mark but is not a strong body. One of Reg's attributes is that he was over 100kg and could go toe to toe with the big blokes. We already have Aliir and Rampe and Mills in that space. Is Reid better than them? I doubt it. Handy extra to go back if needed but I don't see him as a full back.

That tells me the coaches do not think Cameron is good enough.

Cameron was contracted for another year and less disposal and goals than Papley

Looking at how Cameron is doing in Brisbane, with Papley being ahead at the same age, in a worse side with less inside 50s, and on a much longer contract, we'd be stupid to not ask for a comfortably better deal than what Adelaide got.

Neale went for pick 6 and 19 and would have gone to Brisbane with Freo only getting first round compensation this year if they didn't reach an agreement with Brisbane. We don't have the same problem with Papley.

I agree. Melican has gone backwards after his injury and gets done consistently on the lead. McCartin is foolish brave and a remarkably strong body for a 19 year old! Started to clunk a few more too. Also has a big tank for a big boy.
