Whether you want Grundy or not, you can't deny that there will be some excitement among fans and some optimism if he comes here. Sure it might not work out but bringing in the best ruck in the comp will provide a spark to the side.

Grundy played the absolute game of his life in the prelim final and Collingwood still lost. It is the most overrated position on the ground.
Hard to argue with this when you look at the number of flags collected by Grundy, Nic Nat, Gawn, Goldstein and Sandilands over the last decade.Grundy played the absolute game of his life in the prelim final and Collingwood still lost. It is the most overrated position on the ground.
I'm of the belief that he saw Buddys surgeon just before he met with Harley. Could be wrong.Another rumbling from the Essendon Board saying that Daniher's surgery was with the The same surgeon as Franklins groin op. Gee some mayonaise is going on this now.
Richmond have won 2 premierships without a star ruck.Richmond won on 2017 with one tall forward, why did they get a second, better, forward, if they can win without?
Looking at what we won with in the past is not a reason why we shouldn't pick up a gun (not that I think we'll get him).
Grundy is probably the player that would have the most instantaneous impact on the swans and how good we are. Just because other teams have won without an amazing ruckman doesn't mean that our team would be any less helped.
Focus on the team now, and the effect that a dominant ruckman would have, not on a team from 6 years ago.
BT is that you?Our last 2 premierships were won without a star ruckman.
We need a competitive ruck, but it ain’t a position worth burning huge money on.
Think it's a bit of both tbhGotta love this place. We've all be crying out for a decent ruck. One of our most pressing needs. The possibility of the best ruck in the league coming to solve that problem and the position is overrated...
So which one is it?
Never change big footy.
Brisbane gave Lynch 10
So in ruckman terms, what's the sweet spot?Think it's a bit of both tbh
Like we need a genuine tap ruckman but do we need the price of someone like Grundy when we could get a cheaper ruckman and a few more inside mids?
2012 Mumford? I dunno. I feel our forward line would be better with better delivery. Does that mean classier mids? Does that mean getting first use in clearances? Not sure. There is equal merit in bothSo in ruckman terms, what's the sweet spot?

If that actually gets forwarded to anyone of note, I'll eat my own face.
And the number of flags collected by Brownlow Medallists Fyfe, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Priddis, Cooney, Buckley.Hard to argue with this when you look at the number of flags collected by Grundy, Nic Nat, Gawn, Goldstein and Sandilands over the last decade.
Collingwoods been missing a forward line
Gawn plays for a tanking club
Goldstein for lolnorf and
Sandi for a rabble
Any of those played for us over the last 5-years would’ve changed our results dramatically
Both fair. And the number of flags collected by Brownlow Medallists Fyfe, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Priddis, Cooney, Buckley.
Yes , but I have blocked this thread as most on here is about as bad as the Melbourne mediabedford any relation to John?
A pair of Vic Country midfielders shared top billing in the Yo-Yo running test. The aerobic measure saw Jay Rantall and Cooper Stephens both reach level 21.8, with Gold Coast Academy prospect behind them at 21.6.
Rantall, a former high level basketballer at junior level, performed consistently this year as a midfielder for the Greater Western Victoria Rebels,

Or maybe premierships come down to far more than just 1 person, and a lack of flags means absolutely nothing when assessing the quality of the players I just listed.

And which player would of won them the prelim if you take Grundy out? I'm genuinely curious, because I personally don't knowGrundy played the absolute game of his life in the prelim final and Collingwood still lost. It is the most overrated position on the ground.
