Everyone talks about St Kilda looking after Jack.

We have looked after him his entire career, how many times has he been in trouble doing stupid shit, and we looked after him throughout it all.

We have paid him more each year than I'll get in a dozen.

Fully fit, he is a better player than Kelly. Unfit, he is still a better player than the passed it Ablett.

Jack Steven may never play football again and people are melting about a pick that may bring in Butler... honestly, this place.
At the end of the day, if we had of received pick 90 for Stuv I couldnt care less, the bloke has given faithful service to our club and due to mental health reasons, he needs to depart and find another environment - keeping in mind that another professional club may not even be the answer. He's a human being and deserves better than some of the comments directed his way - or that towards the club, whom i'm sure keep the human factor forefront of their minds. Some trades you just cant win.

I disagree. You still need to work for the club not the player no matter how you feel about them.
We have been totally ripped off and should be disappointed in how the people that are put in place to represent us have delt with acquiring adequate compensation for what has been a very valuable player. We can make statement like 'he has been a faithful servant, or given heaps to the club', but if Lethers was truly SATAN, he would have squeezed a bit more than what we have rolled over for.

While I understand Jack had to go, I am just saying we should have got more. A pick in the 30s would have been more adequate.
