Exactly my thoughts too. Believe Webster and Dunstan are on the biggest contracts though and with not playing many games / players going past them would be happy for both to go. Would be fine with Roberton moving into coaching role or something with us. Don't think he has much left in him and has enjoyed being in the box.
Dunstan 450
Webster 400
Roberton 600
Jake 650
2,000,050

Hopefully he has 8 games left to get him to 100 games for the club.

No I think we can restructure to make it work. Pies pay part of his salary next year too. Again we need to free up space now, so before anything happens we probably need to move on at least Webster & Dunstan.

True. Now does he choose the leafy colourful suburb of Moorabbin and the beautiful ocean fronts of the Bayside, or does he prefer the oval next to the tip?
Or does he like in Williamstown which is half as busy and twice as nice as the trashy eastern beach suburbs?

Am sure Savage would have some cash too. Issue with all this is we are then looking at depth of Clav, DMac, Byrnes, Parker, Phillips, Bytel, Marsh which is fine with only one injury, but 2 we will look fairly light on. May need a cheap DFA or two to top up in a couple of areas.

Treloar is a very good player, but he relies on his speed a lot. Persistent hamstring issues + natural ageing isn't a recipe for a sustainable, durable player that can fill out his contract.

I really do hope Carlisle stays. I like Battle, but our back line just looks far more secure with the twin 200cm towers back there, with Battle a handy swingman if Carlisle isn't up to it.

Agree- good size speed -got the X factor would love him to get a run at it.
Any chance Parker has just had a bout of the 2nd year blues. Is a pretty closely family man so would have been hard for him being away. Have to effect form I would assume.

Players in the 22 now would be pushed out. We are getting players off the books that don't get games anyway.

Probably only need around a million too

It was pretty shit for almost every club for players not in the regular 22 this year.

Not many came in and played really well first off. Very hard to be in match nick when there are only scratch matches and you are away from home in a hub.
Out of all the players who were in and out
Marsh, was ok in a few games
Hind, pretty much unsighted
Byrnes, out of position and overawed. Didn't get near it
Bytel, showed some promising glimpses
Phillips, two goals and that was about it
Savage. Was really the only one to stand out when brought in.

Parker, was quiet in his two games, but showed some glimpses.

I would keep as depth (and development)
Marsh
Byrnes
Bytel
Savage
Parker

Still cant work out whats going on with Jake
Not sure but I don't want to lose him, don't think we have anyone who can replace him. Still our best defender when fit but think Coffield is pushing for that title.

It's because he had 2 hamstring injuries in 2018 and then 2 in 2020.
I've got faith in our medicos to sure up any potential soft tissue injuries he has. Funnily enough we did the same thing to another Collingwood mid a few years ago that many said would never play another game.

Cripps would be some full mast sh*t

I reckon he's an interesting watch next year.

It was widely accepted that he was injured this year, but the way he's been managed by the blues throughout his career I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's cooked well before his time. The poor bugger gets banged up every single week. Could fall off a cliff in the next 2 years.

Hope I'm wrong. He's a great player to watch

Reading the Crows board many have accepted they won’t match & are now turning their attention to highly improbable & insane pick swaps in their favour. They aren’t right in the head that mob.

Moved on to bargaining. Soon depression and finally by this time tomorrow acceptance

Actually Melbourne need him , would add a bit of outside run they really need.
Melbourne get Ben Brown and Treloar and they will have a good team.
Could have quite easily finished above us this year. So if you think we can top 4 then Melbourne with Brown and Treloar can as well. Played in a prelim only a few years ago and have improved their list on top of Petracca becoming a star.
