With a lot of the depth players looking for new homes, that suggests Hind, Phillips (coincidentally very good freinds with Higgins) and Parker will all end up signing new deals.

I can't believe Parker will get a new contract, surprised we didn't move already but we have too in the next batch

He's quite small, not quick or athletic. But good skills and bright future imo. Play him half forward.

Is he an upgrade on lonie or Kent? Sounds similar?

The funny thing is I agree he might be better than long whose career to this point has been carved out of chocolate.

The problem is longy being ordinary doesn’t make dan look any better it just creates another opening.

A lot of politics around the Crouch deal, posturing if you will.

I'm still hopeful/deluded that they won't match it, ultimately they haven't even seen it yet.
Add to that there is no formula so unless its well below they won't definitely know. Even though we all know it won't be band one.

But the big thing, he's out of contract. They kinda have to move on him.
They would never give him a five year deal, he won't sign that.

We can't basically not attend the draft two years in a row though, so were gonna be super against using that first rounder.

No joke, Matty Parker is one of my favourite players. He has the potential to be an absolute X-factor player - just needs to hit the gym, work hard and get consistent game time.. of course none of those things will happen and unfortunately he'll probably get the axe

If it happens, this will make 3 Haileybury lads playing together from same year.LDU,Bonar.
Now BKing has mates at 2 clubs now.
While his brother plays for us,along with Battle and Clavirino,its no certainty that it is in his best interest to play with his brother.
He could play for Norf and be the man at his own club and not be in Max’s shadow.
If I was his father, I would be wanting each of them to have their own identity.
Just some food for thought for next year.

He could play for Norf and be the man at his own club and not be in Max’s shadow.
If I was his father, I would be wanting each of them to have their own identity.
Just some food for thought for next year.

If I was his father, I’d suggest he steer as far clear of Norf as humanly possible, and if he considered that rabble he can change his last name

One thing we are forgetting is that Lethers was at AFL when this free agency compo system was launched. He would know how contracts need to be structured to gain a higher pick so expect crows to get pick 2 and we keep 15 for other trades. This may also mean that we have a handshake agreement to get 29 for Dunstan which otherwise would have been considered overs for him. Win Win for both clubs as they get a much higher pick and we get a decent pick back which possibly goes to Tiges for Higgo.

Strange year, he’s taller and has some game overhead which is a point of difference.

i think with his background there’s still an expectation of development and growth, Higgins in contrast was training like an AFL player when he gave year 12 a miss. We also have quite a few smaller guys with no presence in the air, he has some height and can take a a good mark. Anyway I’ve seen enough to want to keep him around and I think there’s a place for him.

Powers at be are as impatient as the supporter base and pick 15 doesn’t get us closer to winning a flag next year.

Higgins skilled player and can stick a tackle , good pick up because he could be used in the midfield at times - but not a earth shattering trade.
Was in same draft as Hunter and Coffield so he has some more development but how much is yet to be seen.
