Under no circumstances should our first rounder be touched in any deal
What about our first (currently pick 10) for their first (currently pick 16) and Clark?

Western isn't going to be a winger I don't think. So the club is pursuing Jordan Clark again. I used to want him but he is definitely behind our b22 wingers of Acres and Aish and doesn't have the ceiling of our potential wingers in Young, Freddy, Tucker, Western and Henry. So he would just be another list clogger/mouth to feed?
I have the same worry. Our 2nd would be my limit. Preferrably something closer to 35/40.I was originally a big fan but him not getting a regular guernsey at the Cats rings alarm bells a bit for mine - if we get him it has to be at the right price.
Clark isn't an inside mid or small forward so Crowden has nothing to do with him. Giro would be the one in danger. If we bring in Clark, we need to remove at least 2 of Giro, Crowden & Colyer.
I like Colyer & his role, but at his age I’d say Colyer & Giro as I think Clark can play either of those players role.
They traded their first to Richmond last year. If they still had it? No.What about our first (currently pick 10) for their first (currently pick 16) and Clark?
I hope not. We will get reamed if we trade for him.AFL.com.au reporting we are chasing Jordan Clark hard in a trade.
Pick 35-40 or thereabouts would get it done?

Finally we are ahead of the curve! We already suck at tackling and if we are playing Jordan Clarke we get even worse
He’s a good player when he has the ball but we already have so many players like that
Henry , Colyer , Sturt , Young , Freddie , Aish , Wilson , Western , Giro etc
Guess we will be well set up when AFL goes non contact though

If he can’t get a game after 3 years, especially in the position he plays (not a KPF), why on earth should we pay up for him?I see. And I agree based on our need to hit the draft as early as possible. I'm just wondering what a deal for Clark might look like. I doubt the Cats are gonna cough him up cheap. Maybe Meek is the key, but I don't want to lose Meek either.
He has played 30 games (including 9 this year but a few as sub). So he is not a total spectator, just inconsistent obviously. The reason for that is what I'd like to know.If he can’t get a game after 3 years, especially in the position he plays (not a KPF), why on earth should we pay up for him?
So his impact is the same as Blakely? Straight swap it is.He has played 30 games (including 9 this year but a few as sub). So he is not a total spectator, just inconsistent obviously. The reason for that is what I'd like to know.
Well hopefully Clark is available cheap, but I do think as far as the Cats are concerned, he has currency. Obviously they are going full tilt for a Premiership this year and next, but surely he is key to their future beyond this window. The only way I see the Cats letting him go would be because Jordan wants to come home, and to their end, they need what in return... a ready made ruck? If Darcy is off limits, then do they target Meek?
Would Meek for Clark be about right?
Giro and Crowden are gone. Sorry, just foot soldiers atm. Happily delist them for Clark. Stephen Hill, sadly, is probably retiring. Suddenly we would have no speedy wing.If we bring in Clark, we need to remove at least 2 of Giro, Crowden & Colyer.

Using your metaphor for Clark, no they don’t rate him given a Issac smith and Duncan are running around on the wing at their ages. Even Menegola is ahead. If Geelong have Neale, wouldn’t they be keeping him instead of trading for Meek? Unless they don’t rate Neale at all?

I can't remember watching Clarke recently, but he did at the time remind me of Tommy sheridan
He's really not though, not based on this season's form.Clarke would be good to have on the list. He’ll be an upgrade on plenty in our squad but importantly he’ll be an upgrade on current best 22 players Acres and maybe even Tucker imo. Improves our list quality overall as well as our best 22.
And importantly he’ll be hitting his peak when we should be contending.
Can they afford to wait a few years for Neale to be able to play #1 ruck or would their entire elite peak of players have finished by then?If Geelong have Neale, wouldn’t they be keeping him instead of trading for Meek? Unless they don’t rate Neale at all?
Geelong really funnel the ball through certain players, hard for a player like Clark to accumulate with who they have in their team.If he can’t get a game after 3 years, especially in the position he plays (not a KPF), why on earth should we pay up for him?
Blakely is the big bodied contested type of player Geelong would love. I could see him being a part of a Clarke trade maybe Clarke for Blakely and our future third.
