I love watching both Naughton and Allen play as much as anyone, but some are getting a little ahead of themselves here.

Until Naughton learns how to kick accurately, the pressure on him will only continue to mount. It's hard to seem him kicking 50 goals in a season with his radar the way it currently is.

Allen is yet to have a number one defender, or even a number two, stand next to him. Let's see how he goes when there is no Kennedy to take the best defender on the park.
By the time there is no Kennedy there, Allen would of played another 25-30 more games and would be ready for it. Succession planning. Something Freo dont seem to grasp.

Agree on succession (although we can right that ship this year) but I don't think Allen is in Kennedy's class. He is more in Darlings.

Of the five greatest ever Dockers (Pavlich, Fyfe, Mundy, Sandi, McPharlin) three (60%) are from WA.
You've missed the point.
Of the current playing midfielders, our best midfielder is from WA and is our only midfielder from WA. 100% of our WA midfielders are the best of our midfielders.
You can't play 1 midfielder.
Of the best KPFs in the past decade, the top two are both from WA (Franklin and Kennedy).
The point was to illustrate the statistics of WA only drafting - and the ridiculous position it would put a club in if you ignore the vast majority of talent from non-WA clubs.

KPPs are irrelevant.

You can make a case that the greatest players at both WA clubs haven't been Western Australians.

Assuming you go Judd over Cox, or Hurn.
It's a moot point I would imagine. Any club who only drafted from their home state would quickly find out why no other team does it.

I haven’t seen anyone suggest WA only drafting but what people actually say doesn’t seem to matter much to you once you get going

So the club is pursuing Jordan Clark again. I used to want him but he is definitely behind our b22 wingers of Acres and Aish and doesn't have the ceiling of our potential wingers in Young, Freddy, Tucker, Western and Henry. So he would just be another list clogger/mouth to feed?

What makes you think his ceiling is lower? I think Freddy, and to a lesser extent Young are who he would compete with.
I think he'd be a good pickup for the right price, not without risk but some points of difference.
With Freddy coming on pretty well I don't think he's necessarily a must have but he'd be a great target if we lose someone like Tucker, or even Cerra, in order to balance the list with age demographic.

Of course we are , another half back / wing. Just what is needed.

I get the sentiment, but he does play to a need for someone that can deliver the ball into the Forward 50, potentially in a period post Mundy and / or Cerra. I suppose someone could also argue he is a similar kind of looking prospect to Yeo at the Eagles; being someone who clearly has potential but hasn't quite stuck it all together yet.

I was originally a big fan but him not getting a regular guernsey at the Cats rings alarm bells a bit for mine - if we get him it has to be at the right price.

If we bring in Clark, we need to remove at least 2 of Giro, Crowden & Colyer.

I like Colyer & his role, but at his age I’d say Colyer & Giro as I think Clark can play either of those players role.

Colyer has earnt a contract extension. So delisting Hill and Giro will be the first step. At this rate I assume Thomas will be joining them (sad to say).
