I think it's pretty important to not tar everyone with the same brush, or I'd be making some pretty negative comments about BigFooty on the back of your post.

Betts, Levi and Murphy are decent chances to retire, we're probably going to trade two or three out, and I don't see the point in retaining all of Gibbons, Newnes or Newman, so I'd expect at least two to go.

That's likely 8 names right there, and that's without any discussion of list size changes now that things have rebounded.

EDIT: completely forgot about Kennedy and OMac: they're gone too. I'd also look at moving on from Pittonet if he's out of contract.

Until our younger players take the next step and or show more consistency, I would be surprised if the likes of Newnes, Gibbons, Newman come off the list, especially with Betts and Murphy most likely retiring

OMAC and Pitto will stay as cover given how thin we are with talls

Newnes is done , we milked the last few games of his career but if we are too improve from here Newnes can't be playing in the seniors . Just my opinion anyway .

Yeah fair enough but we are going to need to delist about 5 end of year and ATM Newnes is in that 5 for my personal future plans .

He did very well, again has been one of the best players for the Dragons as has Tom Silvagni for the Chargers, I think we will have those two boys wrapped up as Father Sons in this National Draft as Midfielders and damn good ones, McKay as a rotating defender/midfielder and Tom as a Forward/Midfielder. They would be two great pic ups so Austin should really focus on getting the best possible tall mobile player in this draft.

Have either nominated for the mid season draft? I’m excited at the prospect of getting some father sons this year.

You only have to give MSD players 6 or 18 month contracts...

That's why I said take 3 picks for 6 month contract to cover injuries or for extra VFL depth..
If they perform, offer them another contract as they are already on our list, if not move them on...

Clearing 9 spots wouldn't be easy (Bolded Blue= Rookie)
The below would give us 9 list spots and 1 Rookie spot... Only if you absolutely had to

Great for Ben silvagni -- hope he keeps improving and makes it -- with our lack of talls and excess of averaged developing mids I was surprised we flicked him drafted fogarty and kept Kennedy on a rookie list ..

Steady we have Charlie McKay and Tom Silvagni in the national draft, there bog material at Chargers and Dragons, so we need a great young tall aswel and we don’t really need a high turnover this year.

Newman is definitely not going anywhere I think Gibbons could be traded because he does have currency but Newnes has slowed down and the game has quickly gone past him
