Two things killed us more than anything else:

1. The diabolical f50 entries
2. The 5 goal run by GWS

Blaming the likes of Bell and Hickey for missing set shots is a cop out IMO.

No its not a cop out. Its part of the reason. Its not the whole reason but part of it.

In the same way Meiican getting thrashed all night was significant but not the whole thing, The entire team kicking too often to buddy when it has been clear all year that we lose when we do that and we win when we keep separation and use hayward and heeney as marking targets instead of crumbers.

I do feel like hogan could have buried us in the third quarter as well. Both sides had a lot of pretty good chances but they were out on their feet at the end and we just couldnt get our hands on the ball much in that time period. They did well to keep the ball a lot in the last ten minutes

His last couple before being dropped to be fair Punts were shithouse on the way he had been performing but watching him come on when subbed in and attack the footy like he did we could have done with him down back all day. He is just very sure of himself the way he plays now which was lacking early days for him and sadly something a couple of guys who played today never look like they have.

Frustrated beyond words at the time. For such a great player he makes bonehead decisions far too often. I have lost a lot of faith in him this year

I know that even the top backline, KPDs types get goals scored on them, it happens. Weitering for example got bags kicked on him. But it was the way Melican played that was frustrating. Went for the very safe play by punching it out, didn't want to go for the mark. Beaten 1 on 1 as well at times by Hogan... if he was against Buddy, McKay, Hawkins or Dixon types for example I would be more forgiving... but Hogan... come on.

Recruiters know that KPD is the #1 target this offseason.

As much as it hurts, we almost certainly weren't winning the flag. I'm consoling myself that our picks are better, we massively outperformed expectations this year, and we have a longer offseason for all our players to recover.

Also, now Buddy has the chance to get a genuine ground invasion going when he kicks 1000.
