I think we’ve got enough to develop there and I think he will slide slightly with 4 hamstrings in a single year.

He fits well at West Coast imo.

I think we will take Sheezel or Tsitas. Both offer a good POD to what we have.
Yes I could see you drafting Sheezel too.
I agree Sheezel would give you something you don't have if start him forward, and mainly play him there.
He's been playing mid too though in juniors (in addition to fwd) - so I could see him wanting some time in there in the future. Might not be too hard to rotate him and JHF between mid and fwd seeing as both are goal kickers and match winners when playing forward of centre.

Tsatsas - I could see him playing in the middle, off half back, or even some wing in the AFL with his speed, athleticism and ability to rack up metres gained, and obviously now that he's shown he can play inside or outside
Problem with going Tsatsas for you guys ... again, it's going to be a squeeze finding time for him in the midfield. You've also already got Hall, Mcdonald, and now even Goater to play that half back setup role.
You could draft him and play him on a wing, but if you take him, you're still very light in the forward line and/or KP stocks

North desperately need KP players, and forwards.
Unless Clarko makes North Melbourne a victorian destination club, or can recruit guys in free agency and trade (which is a decent possibility - a guy like Gunston might be a real possibility for you), you guys really should be trying to stock up on them now.

I've no doubt if there was an obvious tall option to take in the region, they likely would.

Cadman is probably the only realistic option and I can't see him being taken effectively at pick #1.

A lot depends on where the PP is awarded also. If it's a mid round 1, then that changes things in that regard also.

I like that you're assuming a PP will be awarded. It probably comes just after WC's PP.

It's been pretty much confirmed by most Melbourne journo's in the last 10 days a PP is going to be awarded to us in GF week, it's just where and what it is.

We applied for the full 6,000 points fwiw.
The old "hide the unpopular announcement during grand final week". If true, I suspect this will be done at 4.55pm on the Friday night, or at 3/4 time of the GF.

Seriously, you generally get what you deserve in this competition, the draft is already compromised enough with academy and FS picks, affecting clubs down the bottom.

The last 3 drafts:

2021 - Pick 2 (Darcy), pick 4 (Daicos)
2020 - Pick 1 (pick 1)
2019 - Pick 2 (Anderson)

If North had access to these players, how much better would they have been (note they didn't rate Daicos)?

Not to mention all the other academy / FS picks like Campbell, Gulden, Green, Jones, etc going in the first round.

Either have a draft, or go back to zones for all teams.

Not to mention that our #1 pick will be compromised with Ashcroft as well.

As you said, with JUH and the GC PP, pick 2 has been compromised in the last 4 seasons consecutively.

Keep reading posts that we could get 2 late firsts for our pick 5 to get Rankine plus get first round in draft.
Just don't know how Crows going to make that happen .
Not too sure how we will pull a late first for Rankine without some sort of sweetener either.

Thankfully we've moved that Binuk guy on haven't we?

Difficult to see how we get Rankine if it's on without this year's 1st or next year's 1st being involved somehow.

What's the point of the draft if the bottom team can't get the best player?

I'm against the FS as a rule, as the playing field isn't even for all clubs, e.g. GWS / GC can't have a FS as they haven't been around long enough for those players to come through.

If they said no academy / FS / Zones / PPs before the 3rd round, I could live with it.

I'm ambivalent about his role, not gonna pretend I know whether he is worth it or not - just wondering why you don't seem keen with his employment
Sooner see the money spent on actual talent identification as in employing more high quality scouts to give us extra eyes on the actual footballing ability of potential future draftees rather than numbers crunching boffins.

No doubt some will disagree but that'where I sit.
