My all important list changes at end of year.

Delist / Trade
Frampton - should get a look in at a club chasing talls. Shows frequently he is too good for the Sanfl
Himmelberg - I'm thinking he wants out and he is playing like it. May end up simply being a delisted FA
McAsey - I think he will walk and demand a trade. I am not sure the club handled him very well.
Brown - Too good for the Sanfl and runs the risk of playing majority in the reserves next season.
Strachan - He needs to do his career a favour and find a club that will value him. Everytime he has come in and played AFL he did nothing wrong yet got dropped. The Crows will just Play Thilthorpe in the ruck if ROB isnt available.

Davis - straight delist
Rowe - straight delist; with Rachele, McHenry and Murphy all ahead of him, not to mention the need to find a spot for Newchurch when he is ready, I simply can't see Rowe coming close to selection. He was always a stop gap style small forward selection who simply doesn't do enough in games. Its harsh but its the reality.

Question marks
Pedlar - hard to make a call. I think he is on the fringe of being delisted. May depend on who we are able to trade into the club.
Crouch - maybe unforced trade, but i wouldnt blame him for wanting out.
Worrell - He is one that could also walk. Again, its hard too blame him. I am not sure the club even wants to keep him. Weve never looked interested in giving him a game.
Seedsman - Has he retired or just injured? Because he should just retire. Dont want to risk another concussion.
Sholl - banished to the Sanfl. He would be a wanted player but no one could blame him for seeking opportunities back in Victoria.

I suspect we will be going tall this draft and at the trade table. If possible. 4 talls could be gone at once at the end of the year making us on average a small squad.
Pedlar's not going anywhere in the short term until he gets his body right and decent crack at it.
There's no reason why he can't be as good or even possibly better than Sam Berry if he gets his body right....areed it's an "if" at this point but like Berry the lad has talent in spades if he can just get a decent run at it.

Im all for him to stay. Just wrong time of year for unestablished players to be injured. As I said its hard to know for sure. But they wouldnt contract him to 2024 if they didnt rate him. So now im confident he will stay.

I agree with this but I have concerns he won't get his body right.

You always want to buy the worst house on the best street because of the untapped potential. Rankine has a very high ceiling as a player but is yet to show it on anything like a consistent basis. The glimpses are what tease and what coach would not want a crack trying to get the best out of such a talent. Thats why the numbers to try and tempt him will be high as teams will want him
I'd argue this ....the last 6-8 weeks Rankine has been "hot" .....getting runs through the midfield, and up there with Touk Touk, as GC's most dangerous player .....so much so, he was hard tagged last week

What about Himmleberg, does he stay or does he go ?
We got thrashed in the ruck when he went in there
But snapped a nice goal at the end.
He seems better off the ground than in the air
I would take him losing the ruck to having some influence around the ground.

Personally I would keep Berg & delist Frampton. Frampton can't defend & can't play as a forward, whereas Berg has talent... & may be just a question of him being a late developer to find consistency.

It's absolutely critical we delist Frampton and Himmelberg as soon as we can
Fine but what does that leave us as Tall depth?

Doubtful any tall draftee is ready to go if required early days. McAsey can't even get near it whether played back or forward, Borlase probably gets delisted as well.

Are there any talls seeking more opportunities that would be prepared to come to Adelaide or State League talls that would be possibilities?

Don't forget they must then pass Scorp's Spud-o-Meter to be a chance.

If McAsey is going then we need to keep one of Frampton and Himmelberg - keep the one contracted

Strachan wouldnt find too many homes so staying here is better than not

Brown I think might seek options but will stay if no luck

Pedlar may well be one of those hard calls good clubs make - contracted till 2024 - wow ok - keep
I hope Worrell doesnt walk but can understand his desire to play full time - and last night will have some clubs asking the question
Seedsman - Has he retired or just injured? Because he should just retire. Dont want to risk another concussion.
Sholl - banished to the Sanfl. He would be a wanted player but no one could blame him for seeking opportunities back in Victoria.
Seedsman would be my medical retirement - either through manged rookie listing or other means
Sholl is the one generating a lot of noise - again another I think where the right call is to let him go

I don't see any reason to delist both. We aren't exactly overflowing with tall options at either end of the field. Berg I think has some value as a depth forward/ruck option. I'd be fine with keeping Frampton too though I do suspect he will be gone. Delisting both seems unnecessary until we have more options in case of injuries. Especially since Borlase is probably gone at the end of the year.

We've been running one tall defender too many so not concerned about that. If anything grab a late late late rookie for cover. We also have a F/S third tall available which is basically what Frampton has been doing

I'd be looking at drafting a tall forward with our second round pick.

While those players develop it wouldn't be the worst to have to utilise McAsey, Gollant or Strachan. After all we've shown no desire to play Frampton and Himmelberg is as useless as a traffic cone.

I'd actually rather we play short than have to use either of them if it came to it

Keep on rookie list as depth

I’d be surprised if another club took him ahead of us
Himmelberg is getting close to being delisted .....but we need a replacement first

Rookie listing him, might be the jolt .....however there is a risk another club will grab him ....again OK if we have a replacement in hand

History dictates that the best talls are usually taken early in the draft often in the top 10 or right at the pointy end.

Frampton and Himmelberg owe it to their careers to tell us to piss off tbh. Frampton is good enough to get a go at a club looking for a tall back and Himmelberg may find opportunities somewhere in team short on talls. But both clearly aren't in the Crows selection plans accept for emergencies. We need to draft and trade in some tall players if possible.

Pretty much spot on, IMO

Reckon Sloane comes in for Jones when he’s fit, who knows whether he’ll be up to it but happy to give him a shot purely as a flanker

total waste to send any kid down to the 2s to accommodate Sloane. Obviously we'll do it and he'll get a year long golden pass, but it's 100% the wrong thing to do.

I find it hilarious that you think any other AFL team would have any interest in Frampton whatsoever. His future lies in the SANFL.

"Himmelberg may find opportunities somewhere in team short on talls"... like Adelaide will be (desperately), if we delist both Billy & Berg?

What keays showed last night imo almost should shut the door on sloane as i have thought of him as finishing his career as a forward but keays can do what sloane can do there but works even harder and can nullify a player at the same time. Sloane is also done as a mid so where elso could you reasonably play him

in before some numpty mentions Luke hodge and half back.

Would love to see how many goals EH has kicked from a mark and set shot inside 50 vs crumbing. He seems to see himself as a kpf crumber. He is not going to make it as a kpf. We need to cut our losses. Try to get someone in from another club that has shown something or is younger.

People keep saying we need him as depth but he loses the ruck generally and doesn't take contested marks.. what are we missing out on?
