Why would say Mason Redman be an unrealistic target, very mucjh in the same category as Jordan Dawson as gettable I would have thought?

In fact I'd be very surprised if we hadn't touched bases with his management already, Bailey Williams too falls into that category...both in the right age bracket as well.

You would take him everyday of the week.
If you could add Cox the following year I would say that would start looking like an excellent defensive unit.
Draft midfields, trade in defenders.

Gresham won’t be a need with Rankine and Rachele
I just flat out ruled some of them out as they’d not come to us.
Crisp won’t come here, Ben McKay won’t come here.
Harry Himm will be well paid by gws and won’t leave unless it’s to snag a flag.

Redman, JHF and Cox over a two-year period would be incredible, I doubt it happens though

somehow you helped make my point and missed it at the same time. Impressive.

We had an organic growth mindset and rarely traded under Craig. We were very good at drafting then Tippett gate happened. You think about the commotion paying Betts $500k.
Apart from a few selections we searched through the scrap bin a bit and dont think its not being able to attract players but not having the mindset and willingness to pay up.

I'd suggest Gresham is the least of our needs

Redden ....retired
Gaff .......30 YO, bad, bad year .....maybe on the Trade table
Kelly ......is more your outside / in Mid

So who is at the coal face over a long year ?

West, Clark , Sheed. I just doubt they will be interested in Crouch at his age. Hope you are right - personally think his best chances would be Dogs or Port

Yes... but many clubs like their prospective players to do a medical check, with their team doctor, before they sign them up. You can negotiate over the phone, you can't do the medical check-up.

You can! They have medical services all over the world

When Chelsea bought Wesley Fofana for mega money a few weeks ago, they actually sent him from London (!!) to the USA for his medical.

This requires the Crows list management team become aggressive traders ......it's just not in our DNA

Port, in their entire Club History ....inc SANFL ....have always been an aggressive recruiting Club

It appears to me ....the AFC follow the trading trends .....Port seek to create the new trading trends

You can only be disappointed

I assume you haven't watched many of Poulters AFL games at COLL ......he's not better than what we have in Wingmen / Mids

I'm not depressed about him, it's the reasons that we've provided, which we know to be true. We've got our list thsts taking us forward, just a small upgrade here, loose defender there and we're home. ****ing awesome.
