If we keep #11 watch us pick Jedd Busslinger, the board go absolutely spare about picking up another back - particularly if Logue is still on the list, and then preseason training he is lined up on Brennan Cox.. as the marking forward option.

I don't mind a trade for picks next season instead.

Future first and Lobb for future 1st and 2nd this year.

It would give us something to follow for next season and immediately looks cheap for Lobb with potential to be absolutely horrific for both sides. It has all the potential of a drama-bomb for all parties involved.

The dream of course would be that the Dogs have a stinker year, Freo are top four and holding their pick #2 - new coach at the Dogs.

Bunch of lads having a drink Saturday morning throwing around Taranto to the Tigers, Lachie Whitfield to St Kilda, Errol Gulden to Freo. Brett Deledio and Michael Barlow had a bit to drink I think - but Brett is managing players these days, Mick is just a purple blooded one eyed footy head.

For a bit of fun...

I’m really serious, we have Darcy and meek in the wings, we need pure forwards and ruck isn’t our main concern, also gives me mad tim Kelly and west coast selling the farm vibes
This years draft looks like very vanilla to me.
I think we could do just as well with a few picks between 25-50 odd.
I’d say next years draft and Koltyn to Freo is more important 😜
Sure Sheezel is solid, but there are rumours of him being a flight risk.
As for the talls?
A player like Freddy, redo the draft and he’d be 20-30 quality.
I think we have the talent off the field to find what we are looking for, and
what a difference it makes👍

Brett Deledio.
Wasn’t he guy who never saw Adam Cerra play a game of footy till this year?
And picked a rolling AA team at round 7 or 8 or thereabouts for the ABC with about 19/22 from Vic teams.

Honestly Logue can gagf if he thinks he's worth more than 500k over 4 years. Don't think any of our defenders would be on that currently and they're all better than him.

He played out of his ass because we said we'd trade him? Yeah no hes contracted and probably has performance bonuses. No guarantee to trade unless we get a fair deal. GWS are going to have a plethora of picks would love to deal with them.

That is Lobb for a mid-second rounder i can say with 98% confidence we will get more than that.

Save these screenshot it and come back if a deal gets done.
Hope you’re right but anything more for me is a bonus. Some are saying straight swap for mid second round, which I don’t like. The first round pick upgrade is likely only 3-4 spots but is worth quite a bit. Consider the WC draft night trade with Port. Was only a couple of picks forward for a second rounder. Consider our similar pick downgrade when we traded for the same player. Cost us Jordan Clark and we ended up with Sturt.

Bulldogs have some players out the door like Josh Dunkley. He will likely get them an earlier pick in the top 10 (Port have pick 8 which you would expect to be involved). There may be some other picks involved but I expect us at the beginning to ask for pick 11 and then the trade will develop fro there. I also expect Bulldogs if they have 8 for example will happily downgrade pick 11.

I’m starting to think he is gone - Logue that is. Especially since we have moved on to offering depth players contracts (ie Wilson, Banfield, Sturt).

A lot of change for Freo which is a shame. Tucker needs to go (for his own career) and Lobb isn’t a surprise. Acres hard to replace in the short term but the club have set their fair price/contract and won’t move. Logue whilst filling a void as a forward isn’t much chop as a forward to be honest but provides a contest and has taken some good marks up between HFF and wing. As a defender he is very good and the problem is there hasn’t been a role for him. He isn’t that great as third tall. He is 100% lock down defender. Very good cover for APearce and Cox. Again the club have set their fair contract and won’t move.

The form of Hamling the last few weeks has been encouraging. Yes he went forward at the end of the WAFL game but to me that was because Tabs, Treacy went off in the last 7mins. Meek even rested up forward and Hamling was getting cold in the backline. We will need to draft a KPD to develop and come in as needed.

Honestly it logue is gone then I just want us to match the offer for acres. His defensive efforts as a winger are something that no one else on our list could do.

Especially for a couple of guys who played their first good season ever for the club.
Shows a bit about Young. I would prefer to hang onto one of Acres or Logue as well and the o e that goes make out with a very favourable trade deal. I like reading that Logue isn’t favoured to he’s to North. Whilst I don’t believe PSD is a genuine outcome it is still a genuine negotiating tool for bottom placed teams to get a trade in their favour.

On a side note, do you guys find it interesting that the media seem to know a heck of a lot of details (like exactly what the Dockers first contract offer was to Logue) when a particular west australian player manager is involved? (Who's name begins with C)

Who did that article? That seems to be saying Logue is 100% gone

I'm concerned that the club has had its best year since 2015 and players want out, is our cap in that bad of a place? Fyfe chewing up a lot of coin to play next to no football is starting to sting a little.

Logue has always struck me as a bit up himself, should Sturt or Treacy start pushing their case for AFL footy next year I can't see where Logue would fit in unless we moved Chapman further up the ground somewhere.
