I wonder if they might have JSOS tag N Daicos. He's certainly done tagging before and had some success (Fyfe) with it. Would definitely be an interesting pairing if it happens when JSOS isn't in the ruck.

If we are going to go with a dedicated tag I don't see us picking someone who will have to switch into the ruck every 15 minutes or so.

He may just be the sub.
I don't mind this, if he is genuinely on the borderline of being able to play. Either he gets to play part of the game which we think he could handle (if not 100% of the game), or he gets another two weeks break before first final.

I considered that and think it will be a combination of players with JSOS at least half the game. This way if Daicos goes in the middle JSOS can go with him. Otherwise i don't see any of our small forwards having the match awareness to really impact him.

If rhis 22 plays it’s the best side we’ve played all year.

Very low level of fumbling in the side this week. Very good two way running- the best of the season.

I expect Walsh to play a full game on the wing. Cotts too. Centre four of Doc, Setters, Cerra and Crippa. One of Setters and Doc to run with JDG and the other to watch Pendles.

I expect our smalls to rotate watching Nick Daicos.

Strongly disagree with dumping O'Brien, who was a big part of us being able to sustain pressure in open midfield in the first half.
Emergency. Leaving it to the last day

Cmon guys if Hewett was likely they'd name him and pull him out late, not the other way around.

We almost never pull a late out yet people bring it up every week.
Bingo. Though this perhaps sets the stage for Saad to miss.

JSOS isn't the right match up, Daicos is small and quick. Can't compare to Fyfe. Gotta be Durdin.

Now the teams are in it is almost a bit like the calm before the storm. Nerves have definitely kicked in.

Expecting something a bit funky in the side, maybe Cerra a surprise out to the wing to keep Doc and Setters in the middle. Hope Zac is ready to go.

We play our best, we win.
Cmon you baggers! See you at the G.

Lots to like about selection:

Cerra back
LOB dropped, would struggle under the pressure and physicality
Newnes out, Williams a big upgrade regardless of condition
Kept Stocker in the team

If George available would like to see him in for Motlop. If that happens, it's our strongest side of the year.

Want to see Cerra on the wing, setters stays centre.

This is going to be a battle for the ages
