This game could be revealing for both clubs. I get the feeling that no one is quite sure of where either team sits. I certainly can't read the Crows.
They only just beat Port and Bulldogs - but so did we.
Beat Richmond - so did we.
They lost to Freo - but so did we.
They lost to the Bombers - we lost to the Suns.

Part of me thinks we should match up well though. We're vulnerable against teams that rebound quickly, and while I haven't watched a lot of the Crows it doesn't seem to be their strength looking at their personnel. Their midfield make up is similar to ours (contested ball focused), but I think all our players are one level better and will win that battle. Their tall forwards will stretch our backline, but I think our talls will kick more goals.

But still not 100% confident. If we've grown/matured, I could see us controlling the game to win by 20-30 pts. Be interesting to see if we've come that far.

lol that's really unfortunate about the car. also don't do drugs!

So who goes out for Hewett and Williams
Obviously Stocker is injured
Cottrell goes out
And id say Plowman, newnes or Carroll unluckily will go to med-sub

Plowman was so good on the weekend. Don’t get why people want him dropped. He played his position and role very well and oozed confidence with a bit of candy. Was great viewing.

Surely he’s had a wake up call being dropped and that’s enough of that.

No change for mine, unless Hewett is ok then him in. No idea of outs.
I've been as big a critic as any and I agree

We want more of the hard tough and fast Plowman, and less of the disinterested unaccountable one.

Also agree that getting dropped and starting the year on the outer could have actually been the kick up the ass he needed.

Selection integrity, it's a wonderful thing. Hi Teaguey!

Crows got showed up last week and have two more players out with concussion this week.

They're young and exciting and can play very aggressive and attractive football, but they're also very raw and lack depth, which we should be exposing this week.

If we want to play finals this should be another 10 goal win, nothing less.

Watch the first half or so of the GWS game - the Crows were witches' hats....

I'm actually happy to give Hewett another week if he's not 100%. The team found a new edge last round, and the debut performance of Carroll offers a degree of confidence in his ability to play his role - between him, Newnes and LOB the wings are covered. We're in a position where we don't have to play a mid under duress - Cripps, Walsh, Cerra, Kennedy plus limited rotations from Fisher and Martin will be fine.

Williams for Stocker. No other changes. Make sure Hewett is cherry ripe for a defensive job on Kelly the following week.

Mitch Cleary saying today that Hewett is no guarantee to be back this week

I'd be quite sanguine about giving George another week off. I think most here know that i've been a longtime big fan of his, but quite frankly i'm much more relieved that Young is available this week than maybe George taking another week to get a niggly calf right.

I reckon we've got ample coverage for him this week, with all our other current mids up and firing, and now with Carroll and a hungry Dow ready as well. Fish played better up higher in the middle of the ground this week too. Our mids are stocked and all in form to rip the Crowbots over here.

If George has the slightest niggle, rest him again. Very important to have him back in ripping nick the week after. Of course, if he flies training this week and he's fine, then play him this week though.

Edit - Blue Balls said pretty much the same thing at same time.

I think we really need to find a way to reward Dow for his performance last week. He's earned it, even more so than Carroll did
