Nicks (and by extension the AFC) hate any player with a bit of "razzle dazzle".

We prefer the train hard, run in straight lines, play within the structures types.

That's why we won't target a Rankine/Bolton type in the trade period, and why Rachele will sadly end up being a whipping boy within the next two years.

Everyone that actually watched the SANFL could have told you that Newchurch was MILES off it, before he had a couple of okay games and then one fantastic game.

When he was kicking goals, the majority were based on the good work of others, and he was hanging about to receive handballs in the square.

He then played a fantastic game, and absolutely could have been given an AFL game but the obviously wanted to see him back it up.

And he hasn't.

There's no point being a conspiracy thinker about Newchurch. Sadly, he just hasn't done enough.

Hopefully Murphy can be replaced by Rachele, which should make everyone feel better.

Nope. Seems to have been a bit of a thread killer that one.
Sorry, what? Acknowledge what?

Do you mean that Press Conference from a MONTH ago that you linked?

That was mostly about Newchurch and why he didn't get selected after his one good game?

And when Nick's gets asked if Murphy's experience has something to do with his selection - he says (2min 10) that "we're always looking at that AS WELL."

As well.

Not the sole reason.

This is why I stopped expending energy in Elite Crow. It just wasn't worth it.

And Kristof has one "f", for those looking to spell it.

I'm sure last week you would've said Worrell hasn't done enough.

ROB got back with one fantastic game, we didn’t make him back it up.

& he has been complacent since because of it.

Have we ever had a captain or a ruckman go 3 consecutive games without taking a mark.

Just has to be dropped... & I don't care who replaces him as we need selection integrity with older players.

Surely Doc Clarke managed this many times!

Nicks had the chance to explain why Murphy was selected, he didn’t elaborate like he did with the other 2 ins.

The “as well” was in reference to looking at experience as well to structures which is an extension of experience. Murphy was dropped, played an ok SANFL game, not as good as Newchurch but was recalled. It can only be for experience and if there was something else like form he would say so but he couldn’t. Not surprising he was dropped the next week because his form sucked.

As for having me on ignore, it’s because I pick up on your sickly sycophant apologist posting and you can’t handle it.

I'll pass it on.

Apologies for the spelling. I thought it was a play on Pissed-off.

To answer myself Doc didn't take a mark:

  • Between Round 1 and 4 in 2002
  • Between Round 19 and 21 in 2002
  • Between Round 13 and 17 in 2003
Nice analysis.

U expect Doc was providing plenty of hit outs to advantage though...

If someone did call Saad a terrorist and they weren't kicked out by security as suggested by the tweet, that is poor and a joke

No room for that s**t
That takes me back. My school formal was going to have a "most likely to be a terrorist" award but thankfully it was scrapped for being a likely source of racist bullshit.

I don't think many people here care what the coaches think or value because they haven't proven themselves to be good at coaching yet.

The problem might be that not only is Murphy getting a game, but that the coaches believe what he offers is valuable

I am definitely on the Murphy/Ned shouldn’t be playing wagon but I think after watching last night and listening to Nicks over the last year - the number attritubure to getting a game is toughness at the contest. If you don’t have that then he won’t play you. Looking at all of the young players that played last night - you can’t deny they physically have a crack at every contest. Not sure Cook can claim that yet when he plays and they obviously don’t feel Newchurch can give that yet either. And Pedlar of course just needs a block of games. This is why M&M get a game currently

It's really so poor, I agree should be dropped again.

But for comparison Darcy at Freo has had 5 marks the past 4 games, teams have really shut down this part of his game.

At least Darcy has had 5 marks.

ROB has gone, 0, 0, 0... & been mostly a liability around the ground.

ROB has dropped more than he has marked it this year. Used to be one of his strengths.

Anyone know what happened with the racism last night?
A lady allegedly called Saad a terrorist, from what I saw on social media.

Absolutely shocking if true and supposedly was reported to security and they did nothing, should have their membership striped, and a life ban

Ban her if true.

We don't need supporters like her.
