So Polec is fit apparently, much to the chagrin of plenty around these parts I am sure. Jared is best 22, celebrated his 30th birthday last week.

I hope he can get back to his best, he's an outside type with run and a booming leg. And we need his type, we have LDU, Cunners, Simpkin to go get it. Not many to give it to.

A new recruit after 2.5 years of injury concerns. Crikey.

509 disposals, 101 marks, 53 tackles for us in 2019.
I don't think he's best 22 anymore.
Lack of real games in the last 2 years have pushed Scott and Taylor ahead of him, let alone anyone else we've got pegged for the position (TT, Tucker stevo etc).
He's going to have a real fight for his position in 2023.
There's no freebes under clarko.

yeah I can appreciate people can have a differing view than mine. All good, I suppose when I look at BF posters best22 for 23, there is room for a fit Polec.

That Covid impacted draft of 2020 isn't looking super strong with the following already delisted.
C Poulter - pick 30
L McMahon - pick 31
F Rosman - pick 34
C Downie - Pick 35
J Rowe - pick 38

Henry and Bruhn also already traded from it as well.
Thats every years second round.
1 in 3 play 100 games.

if he can get back to 2018 form then he'll knock a few people out of the side.
IF

I was bullish about this prospect this time last year.

Good to hear he's fit. The next challenge for him is to make it through preseason. Once the intensity ramps up he seems to struggle and either breakdowns then or a few games into the season proper. I'm not sure he'll ever get back to 2019 output as he's missed so much footy but if he does then he's certainly in and around our best 22. We shall see what happens…

We also don't have anyone who has claimed either wing either, fat or skinny side.
We have probably 4 players that can roll through there, but none have owned it, so who knows.

i'd have to take your word for it but there are also a serious amount of gun players taken in that range and i would guess its uncommon to have so many delsited after only 2 years. Usually Clubs want to give them a go for a 3rd or 4th year as its often their 2nd pick.

T McCartin, T Stewart, L Ryan, T DeKoning, S Darcy, B Fritsch, H Petty, Chad Warner are all pretty decent players picked in the 30's - 40's.

Swans and Dees repeat offenders......

Naming the good players and ignoring the fails......
Goldy was pick 37. Should we try and get pick 37 every year?

Anyone hearing us being linked to mitch wallis?
I just read it on one of the Facebook supporters groups so decided to check this thread to see if it's legit or not...

those that are gone we left the door open to for rookie spots

id rather payout polec and have one of them take his spot, plus a dfa or 2

Mate we aren't paying out a player on top of those we have delisted.

Polec has shown he can at least reach a high standard, so keeping him under Clarko is speculative but worth a try.
