So with the al clarko soon to be released from the state penitentiary

I see our midfield at least until end of 2024 looking like this. Cunners, LDU, Simpkin, Phillips, Powell then Tucker, Stevo and TT.

I have NFI FWIW, I though can see us overlooking Wardlaw. We lack gut runners and high possession footballers.

I reckon we may trade pick 3 to *, have a feeling. Now can without being nasty someone state why they don't want us to draft this bloke?

187cm/80kg
Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro
Midfielder
August ranking: 3

Tsatas missed Vic Metro's mid-year games with a foot fracture but came back last week for his first game at the level and collected 30 disposals and five clearances. The Oakleigh Chargers prospect had an excellent return to the field after his injury, putting in some commanding performances at NAB League level, including a best-afield display against Sandringham when he had 38 disposals and 13 inside-50s. He had 34 disposals and a goal in his side's wildcard round loss to Bendigo as well. An inside-outside midfielder with dash and quality.

that is all :)

Serious question TAO - have you watched any vision of him?

Um where’s this phantom draft?
Gotta link

Just a few highlights is all, I don't tend to watch much and of course was going by stats, we haven't many accumulators. But it would seem the club has gone a tad cold on him. One example I heard is Bailey Scott could do what Tsatas does.

I also remember watching Kryon Hayden's highlights, not sure where that version of KH went- oh well.

I would be fine with Wardlaw and Sheezel. The latter seems to be the type we'd never draft. I trust the club to make the right call.

Can Wardlaw slot fwd if needed?

Some of these picks seem unusual...

  • Humphrey at 10, what a steal
  • Geelong passing on Clark (hopefully not the lame logic of "we'll get him cheap in two years hurr durr")
  • WC passing on all three of the WA guys
  • GC walking into being another SA feeder

Wardlaw can take A.Hall spot in the team, it’s a like for like replacement, every six or so weeks.

I will cream if we walk away with Sheezel, Wardlaw, Cowan, Scully and Harvey

Unusual is an understatement;
• There is no way the Cats pass on Jhye Clark particularly for Darcy Jones who roos_fanatic08 has at 29 would be a massive reach.
• There is no way the Eagles pass on Ginbey & Busslinger that was the whole point of splitting pick 2

Here's my conundrum. I'm bored and I want to discuss football, but I've never seen even a second of any of these potential draftees in action and wouldn't know a Sheezel from a Cadman if you smashed me over the head with one. But I'd still like to have my voice heard and I still reserve the right to be outraged if we pick the wrong kids.
As such I'll most likely be using the thoughts of The Ziebull as a guide to my emotional responses.

It's pretty simple.

We need a forward, we want ourselves a 198cm plus bloke who can take contested marks and kick it over 50m.
if we go for a mid we need a 188+cm bull who has speed and can dob them from 50m.
if we go a defender we need 185+ someone who can defend, has speed and can dob them from 50m.

in other words no one in this draft....

So we complain.

Were you to be smashed over the head with a Sheezel; it would be a composed, considered blow, the situation would have been summed up quickly and even though your head was a very difficult target to hit the blow would be executed perfectly.

Whereas were you to be smashed over the head with a Cadman; the blow would have worked hard to get involved and it would be quite a dynamic blow considering its size. However there is a chance that you won't actually be hit over the head with a Cadman at all as the Cadman can be inaccurate on occasions and needs to improve its set shot blows.

GOLD Coast has delisted running defender Oleg Markov. The 26-year-old played 28 games in his two seasons at the Suns after moving from Richmond at the end of the 2020 season.

He has played 51 career games in total. Markov was a big part of Gold Coast's backline in 2021, with his blistering speed and want to run-and-carry helping him to 17 games, but he was in-and-out of the team for much of the past season.

Oleg? Just let it go.

Markov was always an interesting one for me. Just really never seemed to hit his potential. Plenty of flair and good physique but just lacked footy smarts, bit of a rich mans atley who played half the games.
