Delisting Polec, wouldn’t be surprised if we rewarded Tom Williamson with a contract.

I have wondered about the somewhat curious timing of the Polec decision (i.e. weeks after other list calls); one wonders whether the Club was waiting on a response from Liam Shiels as to his interest in playing on and now having received a green light from him, elected to make the call on Polly. Why now you ask given we already have extra rookie spots? I'm assuming the club has already made calls on who takes the other spots so have had to make extra room to add Shiels.

Voss and Phillips are much better players and fill needs in the team.
I'd 100% be starting with those 2 first.

I reckon Phillips is a plodder. There's a reason he's finished up at 2 clubs. I'd rather persist with the younger guys, chuck Tucker on a wing or rookie Williamson.

And while this might be exciting this is a shot across the players bows, make no mistake about that. You don't perform or train to elite standards you'll be moved on.

and I still think Walker gets a lifeline unless we get a mature KPP

Walker, Turner, Polec and Ando would all still be there if the case.

I'm not so sure he'll bring in mature shitmen. We have Tucker, Logue and wanted Clark and a few others as well.

The days of shitmen clogging our list I feel will be limited.

Was a fan of Downie pre draft. I think fitness and leg speed were issues at the time.

Yeah fair point, although I highly doubt, he'll go full shitmen. We have plenty of gaps in our best 22. Yes the shitmen wheel (lol), hell we got our money's worth.

I don't mind a role player, but the days of recruiting guys that are poor by foot or poor decision makers I'd say are gone. And about time.
