He shopped himself around last time his contract was upNo way Collingwood will offer what we have
Imo
4 mil over 5 years apparentlyHopefully it's no more than 750K a year for three years.
For a player to be that salty exiting the club isn't great. Part of this is on Spook, but the coach has to take some responsibility. It's not even about his performance. Surely nobody would want any player to leave the club being that upset especially one that had played for us so longHow exactly did we bungle his exit? Should we have given him a pack of Roses chocolates to smooth things over? We told him he wasn't good enough and he disagreed so bagged out the club on his way out. I think you're being fairly hysterical about the whole thing to be honest.
New narrative.
Lethlean, because he is under pressure is selling our future to get DeGoey across the line and destroying our salary cap.
Doesn't matter if it is remotely true or not, as long as it fits the catastrophizing of everything to do with the club.

If only bytel wasn't injured every second week...If only Bytel had the undeserved opportunities that Dunstan got.

Yeah you're right about his first game last year.It is absolutely true.
He played in round 5 or 6 v Richmond (as JB posted).
He also cost us the game v Geel with his usual high standard of disposal.

Lost himself a better paying job at the Suns.I'd suggest that 75% of those not given contracts for the following year would be pissed off.
The difference is that they, unlikeDunstan, didn't go to the media and bitch about it. Showed a lack of maturity.
Thing with Campbell is, when we have Ryder we wanted a 2 ruck system. When Ryder wasn't playing, we just wanted a one ruck system with RoMa.Yeah you're right about his first game last year.
I'm talking about the back half of the season where despite being THE best performer in the VFL, it took ages for them to give him a game.
Same applies to Campbell late this year.
I have no problems with telling players at the end of the season they are not wanted or they may be behind players but when the new season starts and until it is over, you REWARD FORM.
Otherwise other players see exactly what is happening - the coaches are playing their favourites.
No just boringly obvious is all.You are just trying to get in first. If it *s up he's tying his own noose. It's absolutely part of the reason. They are trying to panic patch.
He's going to get superstar money like we gave Hill. At least he should work better in our side.
He was upset in the way he was treated, nothing to do with the contract. Like I said, surely no one would be happy with players leaving the club with such a bad feeling and Luke is responsible, but it's one eyed to think our coaching staff couldn't have handled it betterI'd suggest that 75% of those not given contracts for the following year would be pissed off.

You can't fix stupid.
Dunstan can’t play anywhere except centre.Nah not true - Dunstan played 5 games this year in the team with the best midfield in the league.
Bytel couldn't even break into our midfield.
I thought no way he would leave the pies
Would def have better facilities etc
But now they added the behave clause and he might want a change thinking hes doing no diff to a lot of other players.
YesWho gives a f*** about Dunstan. What I have heard from people who have met him out , he is a massive flog. Jack Higgins a couple months ago was telling one of my mates the club should pay him more because he is the ex factor, his second half of the season showed why he is not getting more money. Which is a shame, when he is on, he is a jet.
Let me guess, I am trolling again?

I’m not saying it’s the gospel but if anyone watched “show me the money” Luke Dunstan literally says he’d rather go to a chippy apprenticeship than go back to the saints.
I have no doubt that the truth probably sits somewhere between Ratts story of “we love him but just needed a little tweak” and Dunstans of “Ratts told me to * off and didn’t even give me a cabcharge”.
Consider for a minute that we made an approach to Angus Brayshaw this year though, do you think there might be a chance he had a quiet word with Luke? How do you reckon that convo would have gone? That’s the risk you run when you have players leave on such bad terms.
I hope we keep Campbell on, I'd say he is about as good a backup ruck as you'd find, but I think we should mainly play Marshall sole ruck now.Thing with Campbell is, when we have Ryder we wanted a 2 ruck system. When Ryder wasn't playing, we just wanted a one ruck system with RoMa.
The last game RoMa was cooked. Only had 8 touches and Campbell did most of the heavy lifting.
He played excellent in the twos, but he is pure back up in a one ruck setup
