I come in peace.
Someone on our board just mentioned StK is into Nick Bryan. Any ITKs here with insight to truth?
Many on our board regard him more highly than Draper for his more pure ruck skills, and he's on the verge of blossoming into a very good ruckman. So, there is the question of value. At least one person on our board has already said Pick 9. I can't see that happening, but it would still have to be a decent return given the calibre he's projecting. A first rounder I think.
If you land Bowes, 7 mitigates the loss of 9. Or can another first rounder be found elsewhere?

You having a laugh ?

From the Essendon board:

Some serious delusion going on. They really think we would piss away pick nine like that.

It's just the usual case of a supporter over rating a player on their list or valuing them higher than others given the investment the club has put into them.

We'd be the same with the likes of Jack Bytel because we'd see value / potential in them that fans of other clubs won't have seen so closely.

With all these things the true value usually ends up being somewhere in the middle.

I don’t think we are too different to Richmond 2016.

Crossroads for our clubs.

What geographically? Hardwick had them play in 3 finals series before dropping back to 8 wins in 2016.

If you disagree with the suggestion I made, that’s cool. But I’d prefer not to be quoted on your board with such a pejorative tone. It’s not really a fair fight.
Not sure why you were quoted here.....to be fair your quoted post was not offensive and on the money with regards to how you/Essendon fans feel about trading a guy you value vs how we feel about a trading a guy most of us have never heard of.

Our footy dept seems to be pretty good at targeting rucks (only position we seem to be good at scouting) - so if we are into him I'd bet he will be a good player.

Bryan and your 2nd round pick for Bytel

Or

Bryan and your 1st round pick for Clark

Quinton Narkle delisted surprises me - I think he's a good player.

Embarrassment of riches for Geelong just to delist a non-free agent.

Agree.

I think Bryan is a player that’s very highly rated internally. But I can certainly understand why no one else outside of Essendon footy nerds would rate him. I think if you asked the average bomber fan in the outer if they gave a shit about trading Bryan they’d probably say “who?”. Probably the same fans that think Parish is a god for seagulling 30 possessions a week.

Don’t worry we have enough of our own delusions on here mate. Is he contracted? I rate him.

Considering they had such a poor 2016 that ended with a 100+ point belting.

Hardwick was in the verge of the sack, it’s irrelevant how they made 3 finals series before that and from memory I think they lost all 3. Lost to North, Pumped by the power, choked against Carlton.

They then made the following list management decisions- which at the time had people laughing at them.

1. Awarded Round 2 compensation selection (27) for losing restricted free agent Tyrone Vickery

2. Traded Pick 6 and future Round 1 selection to Gold Coast for Dion Prestia and Pick 24

3. Traded Pick 46 to Sydney for Toby Nankervis

4. Traded Picks 24 and 64 to Geelong for Josh Caddy and Pick 56

5. Traded Brett Deledio to GWS Giants for Geelong’s future first round selection and GWS’ future third round selection.

If you still can’t see, how they were a club at the cross roads then I can’t help you

I know this isn't the thread for it, but how come he has managed to avoid getting the arse for so long?
Dodoro is Sheedy's man. The board is stacked with delusional old boys who still revel in nostalgia and worship Sheeds. There are plenty of people on the EFC discussion board who want him gone though. I was a Dodo supporter, until he failed to see that our key defender roles would be sustainable. The gap from Hooker and Hurley to Reid and Zerk-Thatcher is a shocker.

Horrible forward.
Well worth a punt as a key back.
McCartin style career turn around on the cards.
Dees have no need for Weid back there with Petty, May & Lever.
Reminds me a lot of Liam Jones, not as good overhead but bigger bodied.
Would take a punt if cheap as a chb, but not willing to cough up much.

Awfully awfully soft.

Not at all keen.

A 6 game ruckman originally taken at pick 38 would be worth a second rounder at most and that’s only because he’s contracted.

Not against the idea though, looks a decent prospect. Had 28 disposals, 34 hit outs and goal vs North Melbourne at the end of the VFL season which is a fair game, GOAT Campbell-like stats.
