Smith has always been more of a scoring wingman than Brad. Brad Hill was always that elite runner who could link all the way up the ground. He still does that for us and as disappointing as he's been for the money we have to replace that if he goes. He's often providing the option even when they don't use him so he draws a player.

Stocker s a bit different to Dunstan in that he's still young enough to improve. He's probably more like getting delisted Leo Connolly or something.

His games to date haven't indicated that he's a contested ball winner, and after watching the GF i'm more convinced than ever that its an important factor.

Really not a huge fan of the JDG approach.

We haven't got our last two high priced recruits right, so I don't really trust our football department to get this one right either.

This just seems another messiah type idea... third time lucky for the current football department.

Just another high priced gamble, I'd rather grow from within. Take our punishment for a botched rebuild, learn from our mistakes and do it right this time.

Bradley Hill has finished 5th and 7th in the last two Trevor Barker awards.

Brad has had some great games this year, clearly a star player and a cut above many of the other players in the squad. One of the fastest runners in the AFL as shown in the GF sprint and his run and carry creativity.

So what are you saying, do you think it's a good idea to get JDG?

De Goey improves our list, so yes

There’s also been reports that the players lost trust in him after how many chances he got and being instructed to gift him easy balls to “get him going”

Everything has to be on his terms for it to work out. Ratts bent over backwards to accomodate him and it’s put him in an awkward position with the other players

When did he resign, or is this incorrect?

Thats incorrect. Signed a 4 year deal when he joined according to Dan Cherny on twitter. We never released the length of the contract when he was traded which is where the confusion has come from.

Not looking super exciting according to the fox footy trade rumours. Bowes and Stocker not exactly going to change everything for us

Stocker is a pass for me. Can’t run both ways.

Bowes is a big yes. Has a tank, runs both ways and uses both sides of his body.

Plus he comes with #7. Gives us x2 top 10s.
Let’s say that gives us McKenzie and Humphries.
or
Pick swap #9 and #F2nd or #27 to GWS for #12 and #19 (from tigers). They have serious SC issues and could pick up a handy player with #9. Basslinger due around that point.

Then I would hunt JHF from North using Hill, Clark and #19.

Add DeGoey and all of a sudden we have good rotations through our mid with quality players who can also be playing HF/HB.

Now we have is starting to look stronger. Tweek the game plan and play the free flowing game we were in the first half of the season and bingo bongo we are queuing for finals tickets! 😉

IMO we have a great opportunity to really make some waves in the draft.

Nice but there's just no way Bowes comes with just pick 7 with nothing back, getting that will cost us our second most likely.

Colin Young on Brad Hill

"I'd be surprised if he is playing anywhere else next season. I know Clarko was keen to get him.

At the moment he is at St Kilda and he is loving it there. Id be surprised if he isn't there next season, playing on the wing."

Still would like us make a play for Jayden Hunt, take in turns with Sincs playng off a HBF & on the ball.

Brad Hill wants to play on the wing, and doesn't understand why he isn't. He did a podcast with Tom Sheridan recently and made comments like he didn't know why he wasn't playing on the Wing he has been playing there his whole career. Colin young's comments saying he expects him to playing at St kilda on the Wing next year suggests thats a bit of sticking point with Hill atm..

We look better with DMac and Wood on the wing in my opinion.

Literally out performed by two guys on bargain contracts because they run both ways, stand under high balls and always make a contest
