Don't blame JHF why would you stay there ? they're a rabble and will be for the next 5+ years
Why waste your career there ?

Pretty much every #1 pick has gone to a club on its knees.

We were a rabble when Roo was drafted. Glad he had the courage to stick with us & drive the club to better times.

I get that, but they are a basket case at the minute
Be buggered if i would wont my 18 year old kid at that hole
I’d be pretty disappointed in my young fella if he already didn’t act like a professional footballer in only his first year and do the rehab etc. he was supposed to, then sooked it up when the coach called him out on it, put in the bare minimum effort for the rest of the year, then pissed off back home to whinge to mum and dad.

Probably a good chance we lose Clark if they lose the Hornet.
If we end up with two top 10 picks on the back of it, I can live with it.

He got on an offer from GC in I think 09/10.

It was before Gazza anyway. But it was rumoured to be the biggest in History type of stuff.

This is all hypothetical.

But if we got 8 for Clark.

I wonder if we could move 9 for 2 teens picks and move one for Sinn + keep a late teens pick?

Out: Clark + 9 + Long
In: 8 + teens pick + Sinn + late GC second rounder
Now, I could live with that.

But got chatting today.

apparently

The club was very direct about his work ethic in his post season review. (Allergic to the gym + previous stuff I’ve mentioned)

Clark got a bit sooky.

Made it known he would be keen on a move in afl circles and the club didn’t shut it down but essentially said North don’t have value for him when they came asking thinking they were getting an AFL priority pick bounty.

Clarko stuff freaked him out abit.

But it’s not dead and buried.

So let’s see.
If that is true, you can't keep that toxic attitude around the Club.

He sets the benchmark for younger players, and so on and so on.

Effort is the bare minimum expectation

I don't understand the gc situation thing.
They're are under SC pressure but that doesn't mean they have to give up good picks for players going to them.

Only really benefits in the opposite direction, i.e. if a player is leaving them for sc dump reasons

I think it's just a matter of their picks this year not holding much value for them and everyone knows it.
Like us when we offloaded Juicy, Hickey, Stuv etc, you telegraph that you're desperate then you gonna get reamed.

Oh great and Bowes will nominate Geelong, FFS.

Doesn’t sit right watching Geelong get:

  • A 2019 top 10 pick in Jack Bowes
  • A 2020 pick 12 in Tanner Bruhn
  • A very promising young player in Ollie Henry.
  • Pick 7 in this years draft.

For * all.

That’s right, Geelong will take a higher rated kid in the draft then us this year after winning the flag. And probably bring in more higher rated youth overall this off season than us. How ******* depressing is that, this is melt worthy.
Ffs. They retire their veterans and manage to attract talent with the cap space. We do the same thing and get rejected by everyone.

Of course the timing works out for them.

If they got pick 8 as part of a trade for JHF I’d trade Clark for that. Pick 8 and 9, in the draft, get McKenzie and Phillipou maybe. Trade this years 2nd round pick and next years 2nd round pick or the Ben Long pick to Brisbane for pick 15. Get a decent crack at the early talent in this years draft to complement Windhager, Owens and NWM.

I am pretty confident it’s true.

Same bloke told me the previous stuff on Clark and even Gags interview played out the way he said.

Denial without shutting the door.

The PM boys can vouch it will be thereabouts when it all pans out.

Yeah
Fair point we sacked Blight in Rooeys 1 st year and were a rabble
Maybe letting my dislike for North come through

Hypothetically.

If we had 8+9

You have to consider moving one back.

5 in the top 30 would need to be the aim.

Do you mean splitting one of them?

Respect to Sam Walsh. Carlton were ****ing pathetic when he got drafted. He’s stuck around and lifted them up almost all on his back. Almost vice captain material already

If we want McKenzie, we'd probably need to find a way to get in front of Hawthorn.

McKenzie and Phillipou would be pretty tempting.

Add to Owens, Windy and NWM and we've got our young mids core hallway done already.

I'd keep P9 in this scenario and possibly trade on the night of the Draft.

All this seems a little to convenient and the pieces are starting to click together.

My read, north have known about this JHF request for a while and so have the saints. Hence the leak of trading Clark ‘for the right price’ and all of a sudden the right price might be available!! At the club Clark is happy to go to!! And the rumours have been about..!!

Please

I am thinking pick 8 has been on the table for Clark for a while. The club just had to ease saints supporters into the idea of it.
