Norf should dig in and get what they can and move on. 2 first rounders + something else (players or pick) and move on

North losing Horne Francis prime example
Afl have to do something
What can you do though?
Boosting the contracts out to 3 years doesnt change players requesting a trade. Just enables you to force them to stay for another year.
North might just hold firm and say no. They should!

Tells you more about JHF than the Roos.

There aren't a great deal of players picked that high that jump ship after a year. Maybe Boyd the only one. And that was for an absolute tonne of cash.
Dont like Norf at all, irrelevant club, but they should hold this bloke to his contract.

Oh great and Bowes will nominate Geelong, FFS.

Doesn’t sit right watching Geelong get:

  • A 2019 top 10 pick in Jack Bowes
  • A 2020 pick 12 in Tanner Bruhn
  • A very promising young player in Ollie Henry.
  • Pick 7 in this years draft.

For **** all.

That’s right, Geelong will take a higher rated kid in the draft then us this year after winning the flag. And probably bring in more higher rated youth overall this off season than us. How ****ing depressing is that, this is melt worthy.

Was thinking that.
They'll have a Top 10 pick for Clark.
This is all hypothetical.

But if we got 8 for Clark.

I wonder if we could move 9 for 2 teens picks and move one for Sinn + keep a late teens pick?

Out: Clark + 9 + Long
In: 8 + teens pick + Sinn + late GC second rounder

TBH given GC's situation we need to come away with a 2nd outright or it's a fail in my book.
I don't understand the gc situation thing.
They're are under SC pressure but that doesn't mean they have to give up good picks for players going to them.

Only really benefits in the opposite direction, i.e. if a player is leaving them for sc dump reasons

Don't blame JHF why would you stay there ? they're a rabble and will be for the next 5+ years
Why waste your career there ?
I mean, you should probably see out your first professional contract at least…

If North lose JHF, they'll need some trade gains to sell some hope to supporters.

Hill, Clark would be back on the agenda.

Out: Hill, Clark.
In: P8, swap 2023 2RPs

They'll get 8 and Ports future 1st.

So I'd be demanding:

Hill, Clark and maybe future 2nd

For

8 and Ports future 1st

What the hell is he thinking?
Multiple views here.

But got chatting today.

apparently

The club was very direct about his work ethic in his post season review. (Allergic to the gym + previous stuff I’ve mentioned)

Clark got a bit sooky.

Made it known he would be keen on a move in afl circles and the club didn’t shut it down but essentially said North don’t have value for him when they came asking thinking they were getting an AFL priority pick bounty.

Clarko stuff freaked him out abit.

But it’s not dead and buried.

So let’s see.
