Steele might be wrapped, but the club thinks he can probably do more to get the best out of himself.. His body hasn’t changed since he got drafted, that’s on him.. Hope he stays and this could be a turning point for his career..
Does everything required of him at the club. The question would he go the extra mile like others (including Hill) do over preseason?

Is this the kick up the arse he required?

The big positive of Gagg's presser was he said we will be taking early draft picks to the draft.

He also said we need tall player depth. Im sure the club has a plan to pick up a couple of mature aged KPP or ruck options.

People need to accept that the club are no longer playing their hand out in the media ala Dordoro. Have some faith that the club have a plan and they will get the job done quietly!

Luke Hodges body never changed either
Club/coaches should maybe take a look at them self
People are forgetting how bad the broken jaw and face injuries were for hunter

You think we should get Clarkson in to make them harden up ? :/

We can easily get rid of all of them.

Not so easy is to replace them with what you're dreaming about.

Right now Clarkson and co are innocent until proven guilty

I'm sure the Hawks fans are crying themselves to sleep over the allegations whilst winning a number of flags

I would rather have 22 Daniel McKenzie type battlers than 22 Hill/Clark/Billing types any day of the week.

If you only knew how much of this I hear and how little of it is anything more than two pieces of bread with lots of Mayo.
You asked the question, don't get offended when you don't like the answer.

Some people do receive 2nd hand information and it's your choice to take it with a grain of salt.

Whatever people think Clark might not do, what he does do is put his head over the ball. He's as brave as they come. Doesn't deserve to get tarred with the same brush as Billings and Hill.

Not just that, he busted his shoulder in the first pre season match v Bombers. He looked fit and ready to go, came back and had lost a lot of condition, just started to get match fit and had his nose compound fractured. Season a write off.

I think that needs to be taken into considering and maybe Hunter was peeved at his exit because he thought that may be a consideration. Who knows? I am sure that it was by the club, but they may have mentioned that he needed to really get fit this preseason and do more.

None of us know, there are three sides to every story, yours, mine and the truth. One thing I know is that Hunter Clark gives us a point of difference with his two sided accurate kicking, was it early last year, he got the ball on the 50 on his wrong side and easily kicked a goal with his left.

Haven't seen that since Leon Cameron days.

What we need, is a mixture of players. That's what makes a great team.

Yes they do and occasionally it’s true, mostly second hand is more third if you’re lucky and once maybe contained a grain of truth.

Kieran Strachan Crows back up ruckman could be handy.

He dominates SANFL and is pretty much raring to go. Plays well at AFL level when given the opportunity.
He’s rookie listed. So if we offer to put him on a senior list we should be able to get him for free pretty much

Has 200 good maybe great games left, I hope he plays them for us.

I know last pre season I was looking forward to the time trial results just to see where Clark finished I was disappointed.. Clark I know doesn’t love footy he’s not a footy head which is fine, but I think his professionalism is lacking also.. Coffield invested in himself this pre season and was flying before the ACL i'm hoping Clark if he stays does similar. I think we should all hope for that..

Hopefully the review looks into our development of our kids, maybe we should ask why our coaches havent been able to get the best out of Clark. We could also ask why hasn't Max's kicking improved over 3 years it cost us 2 games this year

People keep saying take a first rounder for Clark
Why so in 4 years we can move that pick on as well
Go through some of the 1st rounders and early draft picks we have had
Billings
Acres
Dunstan
Clark - pick 7
Maybe its not just the players

Luke Hodge different attributes to Clark, Hodge was Ruthless Great in the Air, and was a HB general. i agree, Clark it's tricky because of the injuries, but it has leaked out he wasn't happy with the exit interview due to what is being mentioned.

If that is true, you can't keep that toxic attitude around the Club.

He sets the benchmark for younger players, and so on and so on.

Effort is the bare minimum expectation
Agree with this, it's like dogs. If you put a dog that's nit house trained in with a dog, or dogs, that are, more often than not the outcome is those dogs that were toilet trained revert as opposed to the untrained dog learning from the others.

People and dogs are often more alike than they are different.

Says who, you? I’m sorry if I don’t put much stock in you’re inside info it hasn’t exactly been on the money has it. So I’m expected to believe that you know what was said in Clark’s exit interview am I. That professionals at the club are so indiscreet as to be telling anyone who‘ll listen the details of private conversations, sorry I call bullshit. It’s time this garbage stopped so from now on no sauce equals total bullshit.
I'm just saying what has been leaked out. Clark has met with North Melbourne that's Fact, Clark wanted to go to North 2 weeks ago Fact, i think we're eyeing a top 10 pick from North which they will receive for JHF personally, i'd rather keep him or take Thomas for a straight swap. I don't think Clark will be a Saints player in 23, these things usually play out that way.

The clubs aim has been draft picks while having a crack at players that would not cost a pick. Quiet trade period (Gags words) is looking right regarding incoming mercenaries.

I like what the club is doing.

Couple of early picks (three if we can nail it) to the draft, hopefully get Ethan Phillips later on before anyone else. Coaching positions been turned over for the better and i expect some serious improvement in the next couple of years.

Herald Sun will give our club a C or worse but in my opinion so far it's heading towards an A.

Clarke who is or was overseas met with north or his manager had a chat or took a call and so on. Who told you we were eyeing a pick for a proposed trade that probably won’t happen that few knew about until last night ? Yep sounds legit I’ll put some cash on it.

Happy enough to listen and chew the fat but we’re at that time of year where you read about it on the afl site and it’s all over for another year very quickly. I think we’re well past the point where people justifying there own preferences or agendas with inside Information, leaks and unnamed sources count for anything.
