yeah I think he is a forward as well, and given he has had a few touched down back, they should have thrown him forward for the 2nd half at least.
I don't understand why the VFL team didn't recruit a key backman.

He’s a tall hff type
Even if he’s learning his craft, he doesn’t have the shape to effectively play KPD
