Disagree. Had midfield rotations and can still have an impact as a forward. Wasn’t holding his mark, wasn’t keeping his feet, didn’t impact the scoreboard.

I agree, but it wasn’t my comparison, I was just responding to it.

As I said, hasn’t played for nearly 3 weeks. He was bound to be rusty. And yes he had rotations, but spent the bulk of his time forward. You’re being harsh under the circumstances.

I wasn’t. Stuck in the forward line all day and hadn’t played for nearly 3 weeks. Maybe if he got put on the ball for the whole game you might have a point, but as it stands that comparison isn’t really fair on the kid.

The fact that our highest possession-getting mids amassed perhaps 17 or 18 touches, does provide some context to a forward having 10 touches and 7 tackles. It wasn’t a shocking game from Reef.

You missed the point. Someone made the comparison that he wasn’t performing as well as T Brown in the VFL. Hard to get midfield numbers when you’re playing as a forward

I don’t recall anyone suggesting he’d had a shocker. My only comment was that he didn’t have much impact. Low possession numbers don’t preclude impact. This came about because someone suggested he was offering better than either of the Brown brothers had at VFL level which is plainly just wrong given they’ve both had BOG’s. He’s never been close to that.
