Our barometer is Durdin and whilst some of you might scoff at that his forward pressure is infectious.

It’s no coincidence that Owies/Motlop and even Fisher play better when his around.

He’s a leader, he’s a “come with me boys, here’s how we do it” player, same with Jesse Motlop, one touch grab, look up, create space, evaluate, make it happen.
Peas in a pod, no wonder they’re best mates, their dreams are now ours!

So when is it when we lose to Gold Coast this year ?

Great win Baggers. Proud of this club.

Cats think they'll lose to them next week. ...

Durdin is a star in the making.

Not just the great goal, he applies the most forward pressure in our team. Love seeing him sprinting and busting a gut to apply defensive pressure and I reckon it spreads through the team. He sets the standard.
Yep absolutely … definitely going to be quite a player! Stay fit!

You know what I Love about him, he plays for the jumper. 100% for the jumper. Love that!!

I think we absolutely made the right choice with Ollie. Does everything well.

Austin has been a gun so far.

Hollands, Cowan, Durdin and Motlop in particular...all young and making immediate impacts to our 22. Could add Boyd too, Far cry from our drafts from the previous 4 or so years.

2 weeks in a row we have outrun the opposition, * that Russell

Wait till Walsh and Cotts are back
I'll give Cotters his props for improving last season beyond what I thought was capable, but where does he fit into this side?

Quick caveat that Geelong were clearly not firing on all cylinders tonight, but glad we fought it out. Best game I've seen Kennedy play, and McKay put up midfielder numbers covering the ground tonight.

Charlie, Durdin and Motlop bringing the attacking power tonight, with Owies getting on the end a bit to finish. Still have my concerns with his mobility, but you can see that he's making good decisions.

Two rucks clicked into place for us late as a screen for McKay to take a few grabs, but otherwise it's going to require TDK picking up a lot of forward craft to account for the heavy legs he's have after centre bounce work. Pittonet was more mobile than I've seen for a while, but he was also far more selective. Balance isn't right there.

Docherty's fitness is a little bit of a worry to me, and it immediately drags down his disposal by foot. Hope he can iron it out. Newman still probably the first defender I'd replace, but like Owies still making good decisions... just rarely hurts the opposition when he does so.

Grain of salt with this result, but happy we got the win.
You can be a cold spoon at times, Jim.

Still have to slap myself that Cowan is only just 18 (and 3 months).

He's so feckin powerful for his age!

There’s bit in the 3rd quarter where he somehow gets through 3 tackles & sets up ??? to get it through to Owies.

He just kept his feet & barged through.

Tbh we played a hard brand of footy tonight, plenty of good hits/tackles.

Best part of watching us play these days.

Tonight and even against Richmond we were going so hard at the contest - as Vossy demands. Opposition teams know they're in for a battle when they play us. Such a far cry from a few years back where we always bemoaned we were pretty soft and easy to play against.

Second best thing was seeing us attack the corridor tonight! Great to see we can make that adjustment just one week later.
