It would suggest our defence was better, certainly in that game?

Again trying to isolate one game when the argument is overall across the competition...

I know that win meant a lot to you, after all as a Saints fan you haven't got much to cling to.

Maybe time for another re-run of that streak DVD? I'm sure you had the best defence during that period?

How many of our current players were around when St Kilda used to get their kicks from beating up on us when we were completely unable to compete?

Remember JeffDunne, Fireman, etc carrying on like they were on the way to the holy grail? Good times.

I remember going to a Saturday game at Telstradome years ago. We were going to get absolutely annihilated but was going only because it was Campo's 200th. Game also famous for Fev starting at FB on Gehrig. I was just minding my own business and this prick in front was turning around and giving to me all game. I honestly couldn't believe it. A mature guy as well probably mid 50s. He was so cocky he truly believed they were going to win the big one. As I left I told him mate we will still win a premiership before you. He's still waiting with plenty of heartbreak along the way.

My original post stated our defence has been better for the season. Which is it?

I was at the game when all their players went after Marc Murphy saying stuff about his missus, etc. The crowd were targeting Murphy as if he'd done something wrong. It may have just been the section of the crowd I was sitting in but it was an epic combination of pure bogan stupidity and a determination to share every half-wit thought with the world at volume - and every swear word in the book. I sat there with my 2 young kids - it was like we were watching another species at the zoo.

Clearly the worst crowds I have sat in have all been St Kilda

Yeah and when I shot that down by pointing out that we've faced tougher competition, you changed your argument by referencing our earlier clash this year as some form of proof...

You've faced North, Hawthorn and Gold Coast twice... 3 of the bottom 6 teams in terms of points for...

9 Carlton players who played in the first game against st kilda won’t be playing in this game.

Our entire game style has changed, pressure electrifying the team along with very slick ball movement.

The last time we played st kilda we scored 60 points - we’ve averaged 120 points including against Port and Collingwood over the last 6 games - doubling our average score for.

The last time we played Collingwood we bombed it down the line under pressure.

This week Collingwood did the same under Carlton’s intense pressure.

Anyone believing our first game against the saints is a sign of things to come this week… is blind or kidding themselves.
