My original post stated our defence has been better for the season. Which is it?
But it hasn't - 5 points is within what you'd determine as reasonable error bars for a statistical determination of who's defense is better.... So you're preciously wrong really. Even - sure. Reliance on the flood? One does one doesn't. Wonder who's is playing better recently....

I’m looking forward to midfield bingo. It’s the most exciting part of our game recently.
Bingo

2. One little duck 🦆
6. Toms mix/Half a dozen
9. Doctors orders

14. Valentine’s Day

29. Rise and shine

Missing atm back for finals

Danger game this week. We are strong favourites to win and if we let our guard down and our intensity subside, things could shift so vital we keep doing what we’ve been doing so well and all will be fine. I trust the boys will keep it up and we’ll get another vital 4 points for our finals bid.

Yeah and when I shot that down by pointing out that we've faced tougher competition, you changed your argument by referencing our earlier clash this year as some form of proof...

You've faced North, Hawthorn and Gold Coast twice... 3 of the bottom 6 teams in terms of points for...
No fanbase celebrates being mediocre quite like St Kilda. And what’s worse, is that the club indulges it (see “The Streak” box set). North Melbourne have been more successful in the AFL era alone, than the saints have in their entire existence, and we constantly refer to the Roos as a rabble.

If they win, they’ll celebrate it like they’ve won a flag, purely cause they are destined to not win anything for another century and have to take all the little wins they can.

Can’t stand that mob

I am with Jimmae that the whole TDK and Pitto thing needs to be sorted. We play Russian roulette if we go into a Marvel game with both of them. We need the extra run.
How come it worked last week on a bigger ground (where you need more run) against the best team in the comp but it can't work this team against a lesser, slower team?

The amount of times TDK got his hands to the ball in a marking contest and came up empty was mind boggling, it was JSOSesque except TDK got to far more than JSOS does.

Clunk 3 or 4 of those contests like he should have and the narrative is completely different.

Pitto and TDK is the preferred combo and should be, other combos involving them and JSOS are just second rate

Even Pitto got to one in the forward line. Pretty close to goal. As well.

Apparently back running. No idea what that means in terms of that sort of injury and game time but must getting close.
Imagine Cerra Kennedy and Walshy back for G- dub! 😲
Hi Toby!👋

When we have Harry and JSOS available, my preference is TDK as the main ruck. The pressure he puts on and how he gets around the ground after the balls been bounced is almost like another midfielder.

It’s such a disadvantage that neither TDK or Pitto have any idea what’s going on in the FW50. They may as well be in the Bermuda Triangle.

Thought TDK when forward was good, got to many contests in prime position just couldn’t hold a mark to save himself.

Harry would have taken a big handful of the marks TDK was presented in the same situation

He did struggle to grab one forward, but did ensure it wasn't intercepted and came to ground

I thought he worked hard

From what I've seen back running usually means at least 2 more weeks away from playing as they have to get through a full week of training to play.

Cunningham has elite disposal whereas Fogarty does not.
little Fog tackles like a madman, he's ranked 2nd in the comp for average tackles inside 50. Also has a knack of being in the right place, seems to have decent footy IQ in that regard.

Out of curiosity, put the two names into the compare stats page on the afl website. The super basic stats are really similar. They probably compliment each other well, Fog brings more pressure, Richie has better disposal, but both are still contributing fairly evenly. Compared to some other half forward combinations we've had were there might be one player solely focusing on defensive pressure without getting many touches while another collects the ball 15-25 times but does nothing the other way.

goals 0.7 / 0.7
disposals 13.3 / 13.5
marks 2.0 / 2.5
tackles 5.2 / 3.7
clearances 1.5 / 2.2
kicks 6.2 / 5.5
handballs 7.2 / 8
