Think this will be our toughest contest so far, as I rate the Crows and if they click, they are hard to stop

In: Walsh, Kennedy, Acres

Out: LOB, Honey, Carroll

Sub: Coin toss, probably Ed

Thought Cowan was coming off a little last week, but was strong today, love his natural toughness. If he is to be managed, use Cincotta

Martin probably needs a run at VFL level, Cuners the sane

Yep, I'd have the same. Kemp if Gov is injured. Ed stays in if H gets a week.
Yep, I’m with this. No offence to the outs but bloody hell this makes our team so much stronger

Are we going to be asking for Cow and Ollie to be rested every single week?

Ollie could run another 5k and Cowan has figured out his limitations and is playing within them. Each of his kicks tonight set up a play. (He went at 100%).

Unless they’re injured, they play. Each of these games, with massive crowds, will be doing them wonders as well.

For me it’s:

In: Acres, Walsh, Kennedy

Out: LoB, Carroll, Honey

Ed is the sub.

It does mean one less forward, but it’s not like Honey set the world on fire with his pressure. (Though he did kick a nice goal). In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Walsh plays the half forward role and comes up to the stoppages.

"asking for"? Don't see anyone suggesting that, me included. Just considering that it may be something that could happen at some point with first year players. No-one here knows how these young guys are tracking, beyond what we see on match day. Consecutive six-day breaks is likely to be more demanding on a first-year player than a seasoned performer. It's certainly not unreasonable to conjecture that these young players will be managed at some point.

Spot on. Although I have a concern regarding H.
He may be penalised for his two forearm bump in Q4.
Lets see

Cowan needs a spell. He might be doing his job but I want more out of the half back. Love to give Plowman kemp or Cincotta the spot after the last couple vfl games. Need to promote from within at some stage to create healthy competition.
Wow I didn’t go to the right game?
The Cowan I saw today was fantastic.. couple of great marks and good use…actually so impressed what he brings already as a player.

Some huge ins for this, looking forward to it. Midfield desperately needs some spark.

Close to our strongest team on the park next week has me giddy. Can't wait to see our midfield all together finally.

Probably missing Williams but he is well covered actually by Cowan currently. Guys like Owies and Cunners arguably in the mix but again are well covered and aren't in our top dozen players.

INs and OUTs might get interesting.

IN: Acres, Walsh, Kennedy
OUT: LOB (maybe to sub), Honey, Carroll, ?

Last out is kinda hard to pick. Fish had a good game. Mots and Durdin are locks as small forwards.

It might actually be 1 of JSOS/TDK/Pitto.

Geez if we ever get a fit list, there will be some seriously unlucky players to miss out.

If, big IF, we can snag the next 3, we have done amazingly to set us up for the tough run for the 6-7 weeks after. Especially with that meaning 2 more wins on the road.

Adel (A) at AO
Saints (H) at Marvel
WCE (A) at OS

Tough run:
Bris (H) at Marvel
WB (H) at Marvel
Pies (H) at MCG
Syd (A) at SCG
Melb (A) at MCG
With * and GCS to round it out before the bye.

Beating GWS away was hopefully massive for the boys because that trip has not bared a lot of fruit for us. Adelaide at AO is the same. Glad Lions are here at Marvel. Walsh, Kennedy and Acres in would be a massive boost. To be where we are with some injury concerns that are key has been so pleasing. Need to bring our A game on Thursday coz Crows are playing fearless at the min.

Maybe Ed Curnow to sub.
Midfield sure looks bolstered, has been our weak point recently.

Totally agree...I book marked this as one of the key games of the season. We win, so likely to play finals. North were always going to fire up for their marquee good friday but the crows will be aroused to another level and the crowd fully feral...I am confident

We have done what we needed to for the 1st 4 rounds with key personnel on the sidelines. Getting Walsh, Kennedy and Acres into the team really should provide some extra spark.

No excuses not to beat the Crows by at least 6 goals imo.
I just hope the chemistry is there. Remember last year we played well with 4 of our 5 best mids out there, but when we had all 5 out there the synergy was off.

I’d keep Honey in rather than play Kemp.

Honey had a few nice touches and a booming goal that showed his untapped class - love to see him given a block to see what he can uncover with some confidence.

Dow doesn’t handle pressure well - prefer Cowan as sub.

Can’t wait for that run of games - HUGE

Adelaide should be pumped for this, the gather round in in their back yard. The footy world will be focused on what they bring in game 1... Big chance for us to show we are the real deal.

With the build up for gather round, which will be even bigger in SA and playing the Crows in the first game of the round, it's basically back-to-back marquee games for us after Good Friday.

So good seeing us getting heaps of prime time slots again and huge Carlton crowds turning up.

In's are easy...and a marked improvement to the side, Acres, Walsh, and Kennedy.

Acres for LOB is a no-brainer. LOB has had his chances and Hollands has passed him by.

It seemed on the telly that Fisher had a few CBA's and played higher up the ground than in other games this year. I think Walsh comes in for Honey to take those midfield minutes and Fisher goes back to a predominantly half forward role.

Kennedy is an upgrade on Ed.

Awesome that we are unbeaten despite not playing at our best. Hopefully, the loss to the Crows that effectively F*cked our chances at finals last year will make sure there's no complacency this year.
