Well.. Buzza is on our VFL list and not actually selectableHard to make a case for Tom over Buzza as our depth KPF as well tbh.

Yeah Schache at least knew where to lead. Fullerton clearly missed those development years and just kept ending up in the wrong spots every game I saw him in. So many times he ended up front and centreI think Schache is at least a smart footballer with good instincts
I play a bit of golf with this dad, St Kilda was the one showing most interest. But I was assured Fullerton was going to “the team we played in round 24”
Schache is dead set scared of his own shadow, Tommy is not. I think Tommy just has to develop a bit more when he flies in the air to lift the knees rather than his basketball training to go without them.A bit like Schache
Yes. Ashcroft is only 1 of 22.After all this I’m just happy I can keep my username! We know how much re-born Fages like defense so I can’t see Dev being out of the side even when Ashcroft comes back - assuming he continues to improve (which he will)
I don’t believe youI dreamed we picked up Grundy so Oscar could play full forward.
Callum Towmey
If we got a future 3rd for Fullarton, I'd take it and run.
Doubt we get a 3rd for Mathieson though if he leaves. But you never know.
I’m not sure if the draft rules have changed back, but I believe we might only have to draft two kids at the draft.I see some potential with Fullarton but you need to forget about him as the big hulking bloke he is.
His strengths are actually his tank and cleanliness below his knees. He doesn't absorb body contact well and is not very quick.
If Melbourne want to get something out of him i'd be using him as a forward target and telling him to get on his bike - much like Jono Brown got the ball by repeat leads rather than pace, this is Fullarton's best hope. Quite a nice neat kick too.
If we get a third round pick we should buy a lotto ticket tbh. Some sort of future pick with a few points attached to Levi i suspect.
Mathieson - can't see us getting anything really. Solid footballer - funny to think he got 2 brownlow votes v GWS last year and has barely played since. Honestly think West Coast could do worse than pick him - he's got a bit of attitude with their kids will need, and a solid inside mid who will at least have some mongrel. Good accurate kick at goal too.
From what briztoon is saying we might need a lot of picks next year, maybe that will be the priority meaning a few players get an extra year?
OUT Fullarton / Mathieson / Rich / Cockatoo
IN Doedee / 3 draft picks
ONE YEAR SWORD OF DAMOCLES CONTRACTS B Coleman / Michael / McDowell-White
Matho would be a freebie if any teams are keen
He looked around last year without any luck so probably similar this year.Yes, but if he chooses to go to say a Gold Coast, Sydney or GWS then they might help us out pick wise for 2024. Matho and a 4th for a 3rd or something.
So we have very little space left Connor gets elevated Doedee in not sure who goes out?
Interesting that we expect his ACL recovery to take ~13 months. I think Hipwood and Rayner came back after ~10 months.

We do not really know how to do this part of the draft yet do we. Trade next years first into this year for a late first or early second. Seriously it is not that hard. Late pics into next years. The messaging from the club, about prioritising points for next years draft, has me believing that we might be considering trading our second round pick in to next year.
Which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, as we should be able to generate enough points by trading out next year’s first round pick, next year.
I left out the bit where Ricky Ponting was the coach.I don’t believe you
I was speaking to one of the Brisbane hierarchy at AAMI stadium following the draft where we picked up Ashcroft and he advised me that they will try to swap next years 1st round draft pick for hopefully a 1st round draft pick this year for a key position backman. This makes sense as from memory GWS lost their 1st rounder for one of their academy kids when Sydney selected him for their first and they had to match their bid. You could see the GWS recruiting team were stunned when that happened. We do not really know how to do this part of the draft yet do we. I reckon Fages is the perfect coach to take on the Tassie team when they enter the comp. 2028 I think that is. By then his time here should done and a man manager like him would be just what the Dr ordered to get them up n running.Spot on. Fages is a good Tasmanian boy and a hero at my local club. He was an astute appointment by your administration. All the Hawks rubbish was absolute BS. If I was Dev I would have signed a 1 year deal with Lions have a shot at another flag and hopefully show enough to be playing regular midfield with 2 Ashcrofts inbound.
