Just a reminder that our top three draft picks have nothing to do with AFL handouts. The 4th one was provided by Carlton as part of a 4 part trade for Fisher that also involved the North PP. The 5th one was from a straight out swap of our 2024 PP that wasn't guaranteed. Supporters from other clubs seem to like to embellish the amount of assistance we have received from the AFL.

I wasn’t disputing that fact. I also said earlier pick 3 was the result of a flawed system and the McKay decision is far more palatable than say Dodee.

I’m not even (trying to) taunt, merely trying to separate fact from fiction and clarify my own statement which generally ties closer to the North Melbourne line than the bulk of my own fans hence me wondering into this thread to start.
I do get a bit annoyed when people start throwing the delusional stone when the reported tabled offer is the same one I suggested two weeks ago.

For the record my own price for Reid was 2,11,17 or 18 with 23 going back, but if it ends up being 2,17,18 and we keep 23 I’m completely cool with it.
Again, this’ll get my head bitten off on my own board.

Less than 2 weeks til the temporary pick swap deadline on nov 10

I reckon if a deal gets done it’s by then instead of draft night 1 min before the pick one is read out so mop gone after that

Nah I actually want North to succeed. My dad is a North fan and I kinda followed from afar when the ground level troops like you saved the club from moving north.

My other half’s aunty is a member and won the Mazda a few years ago from the raffle.

I’ll be around throughout next season. Happy when this circus is over.

Its been a loooong year we

• Lost our coach for 12 weeks
• Lost our first number 1 draft pick
• Lost 19 games in a row
• Lost a game via an interchange infringement
• Lost to Essendon 2 x under 10 points
• Lost Chom with another long term injury
• Lost the number 1 draft pick after losing 19 games in a row

There is more but I reckon you get the point.

After all of this the little reward as supporters we get is to come on here with likeminded supporters are talk shi*t about who we can take at the draft and get a little bit excited about something.

Why everytime I jump on this thread do I have to read these WCE weirdos essays about why we shouldn’t try and trade for Harley, or if we do what we need to pay, or why they don’t want to trade as he is the next G. Ablett.

IT IS TALKING AWAY THE ENJOYMENT OF THE DRAFT BUILD UP!

Please can I request we have a NM only draft thread so we can enjoy our own echo chamber. I cannot take much more and do not want the whole draft period to be about Harley Reid.

Now to bring me some joy I am going to watch some You Tube highlights of the kid who has kicked 71 goals in 30 games at the highest junior level and will almost certainly be wearing blue and white next year.
