Yes this is the only scenario that makes sense to me. Our philosophy is about building a list for next premiership, his experience as a mentor/coach is his best asset we are bringing back, not to mention a yearlong apprenticeship with the runner up premiers

Is it a forward looking move? No. However we need all the help we can get down that end of the ground.

We desperately need to find a legit second fiddle to Lewis, and that player is not currently on the list. Nor will they be if we get Chol. So this is not a case of Mitchell/O’meara stunting the growth of our future mids.

For one last season it’s fine, and will be nice to cheer one of our legends off the ground for the final time for a change.
