I watched the game, don't think we played the same set up in that match but happy for you to review and prove me wrong.

We are still 2 games off the top of the ladder and actual 6th with a game in hand. You aren't really expecting them to go full play the kids surely?

If they play them and give the kids a run in the middle when it's appropriate that's about the best you can expect. No?

That's the kind of player you want to chase. He's an obvious upgrade on what we have and rarely do you get access to those types. We really need to make ourselves look attractive by getting deep into finals.

Get him and some one goes out - out of Steele , Crouch and Ross
On top of that Owens playing mainly as a forward is averaging more contested possessions a game than Steele - so when he finally gets his chance our midfield should be rejuvenated.

A lot of these guys got to know they are only good as there last game - Windy , Owens have shown more grit than most of our experienced players - even Hammer has shown up the more experience guys with his attack on the footy.

We have a kid in the 2s in Killer an by all the talk he is going to be a ripper.

Noah Anderson or Daicos probably. Bont probably the best player in the game this year but those two have 10 years plus ahead of them

Best intercept player / defender in the game. Just 24. Would anchor our defense (and gameplan) the way May has for Melbourne

Could be talked into Oliver or Bing depending on what part of the ground you wanted to focus. But prefer Taylor

Deven Robertson was tipped to go at about pick 8 and was a Larke medalist. He looked awesome in his draft year. He's going to struggle to get an inside mid role at Brisbane and looks like another Jack Steele type pick up. Kai Lohman and Bailey Laurie stood out in VFL games that I watched.

Well it looks like quite a few of the guys you mention had huge games yesterday. Kai Lohmann, 21 pos, 8 marks, seven goals. Robertson 38 possies, Mathieson 35, Lyons 43. They seem to have a pretty handy second string midfield.

As for dumb luck, every list manager hears from someone about a potential player, so according to you every good recruit is dumb luck.
With Stocker he traded up to draft him. Carlton didn't play him properly, he contracts him at the Saints and is playing very good football ️
Every other club could have drafted Caminiti. Through contacts, regardless who he is, SoS hears of him, recognises a hole in our forward line and gives him a go.
SoS brought him to the club, nobody else ️.
SoS may turn out to be crap but so far he is two from two and unlike you who with no evidence critisise him, am willing to hive him a go.

How are you giving SOS credit for Stocker when he came over when Gallagher was our list manager?

As for the trade up to get him originally, as solid as he's been for us down back, that was a poor move at the time and back fired for Carlton. There were a few players taken high in that 2019 draft that the Blues could have taken that would have suited their list needs perfectly e.g. Lachie Ash, Caleb Serong

I'm not bagging the guy but I struggle to see how he gets any credit for that

I saw Lohman play a game last year in the VFL where he looked like a star. Played forward and had big numbers and nailed some long range shots on goal. Looked like a gun.

Mathieson is too good for VFL and Robertson is behind so many now he'll never get a game. They got Fletcher and Ashcroft cheap last year and picked up Dunks. Already have a very good deep midfield and guys on the outside that can play on ball.

If I'm Robertson I'm looking for a new home. Lyon is old and too much like what we have but is too good to spend his last years playing VFL too.

Actually I thing Fullarton was leading the goal kicking too in the VFL. Don't know if he's senior listed though. Pretty outrageous VFL side.
