It has potential. What about we up it a little and say, it looks like he is trying to * Carlton's list, but his real motive is trying to get JSOS over to the Saints on a huge contract ;)

ok , this is a little from outfield , but the player i would pick if we could have anyone would be Will Day from Hawthorn . A real CHB , very young and still alot to learn but i think he could become a star and help the balance of our side . Ok let the laughing begin ..........

Positives:

He’s an SA boy, we’ve got a few of them so he’d probably feel at home
More competitive then Hawthorn

Negative:
Pay cut
Hawthorn would want 8 first rounders + our starting midfield

He’d be a good pickup, but it would cost a lot.

Just signed a 4 year extension

Not being overly familiar with the management structure at the Saints what are the actual roles of :
List Manager : SOS
Head of Talent and Acquisition : Graham Allen.
Recruiting Manager : Chris Toce .

Saints news stated " Silvagni has held list management positions with Greater Western Sydney and most recently Carlton, helping both clubs build their long-term list management strategies."
Silvagni will support Allan and the wider list management team with player acquisition, retention, contracting and overall list strategy, working closely with St Kilda’s National Recruiting Manager, Chris Toce, and Recruitment Assistant, Jarryd Roughead.

Obviously as the boss of the department , he can get his snout in the trough if he wants but it seems that his main role is strategic and long term management. I'm noting that his predecessor was a financial guy.

New to the club it might have been a simple case of " We're kind of looking for someone who can play full forward, Kingy might take a while , but we'd rather not some crusty old has been ". "Why don't you check out Caminiti, i saw a bit of him at the Blues and he looks the goods".

Ehh as opposed to the bottom 20 bringing in sub 120k?

It’s an average for a reason.
Not the case. The bottom 20 are more like a bottom 50, or 100, or 200.
When determined an average one should generally ommit the top and bottom 10% to avoid the outliers having undue influence on the result.
In this case the top earners are dragging the average up which creates a false impression or what the average player earns. So without normalizing the inputs we have the outcome that the average salary as perceived by us the punter is well below the mathematical average.
It's the misrepresentation that l was picking up on. I don't actually care..

He is only 191cm , he isn't a genuine CHB
