I am sure Bombers won't get Pick13
and I doubt Saints will either
No the Bombers are not/ never have been in the running to get pick 13.

However, if we can get the Bombers to get us 1st round compensation - using the arrangement which has been discussed on here ad nauseum, then we are certainly a chance. Depends how persuasive SOS can be.

I took the wife to one of those old school banana fritter Chinese joints in the country recently. She's a bit of a food snob but got sentimental. It was deliciously terrible. Real chicken and sweetcorn and tinned Lychees and ice cream sort of joint with crass decor that looked like you get hand jobs with a massage.
You say that like you’re not supposed to get hand jobs with a massage

Maybe 20 years ago i used to go to a place in Traralgon, "Rasa Satay " not sure if its still there.
The owner who called himself "Richard" was Chinese from Malaysia.
He'd say " this is not the food you buy in a restaurant in Malaysia, this is the food i cook for my family in Malaysia".
Had an excellent range of curried and chilli dishes.

He'd get triggered when he wasn't very busy.

"Australians...i make all these flavors, and all they want is STEAK AND BLACK BEAN SAUCE. Who on earth eats steak and black bean sauce "?

Dylan Shiel was assessed for a foot concern following training on May 24.

On September 20 it was reported that he will start preseason on a modified training program.

He played an hours worth of footy in round 12 for a single clearance and was subbed off.

Returned in R16 for 2 possessions in 30mins of footy.

Leather poisoning the next week with 6 possessions, 0 clearances in again 30mins of footy with only 2! turnovers.

Literally put on ice after this to maximise his trade potential.

I reckon he has stress fractures in his foot. Freo has a similar aged celebrated player they can't get on the park with any regularity.

"Before arriving at the Giants in 2011, Shiel had a stress fracture in his foot similar to Melbourne’s Jackson Trengove, which forced him out of the game for six months.

He then had two more stress fractures in his feet along with sprained ligaments in 2012."

Dear St.K. please don't. Does anyone have a hotline to junior Silvani?... so he can word up the ole man for a second time.
They all know, RTB Brownlow night said something like ' I know he has been injured since round 10'.
They know exactly where he stands re injury.
That's why I am thinking the whole scenario is a fantasy.

No.

They know because they have done their due diligence.

An opportunity was presented to us.

Not sure what it specifically looks as a transaction.

But there has to be a win win element and seeing as we are the one taking on the salary and losing the player. One would have to assume it’s pick 13.

And as for Shiel. It hasn’t been squashed yet by us and we have met with him.

As long as the AFL okay whatever they are working on. I’m thinking it happens.

To me that was Ross's polite way of saying " Dodo is dreaming if he thinks he's getting a first round pick ".

Would be an amazing deal for us. Unfortunately there is no reason for Essendon to do it so it ain't happening.

They’re probably trying to clear out some space for a Ben King sized talent.

Why would we assist in that process unless there is an astonishing clear win for us?

At this stage I’d rather throw 1.5 million at Shai Bolton for 2 years then take on Shiel for a million dollars (I do realise you were saying they pay his wage).

Bombers board is like one of those single middle aged women that hoard so much s**t that they have to start creating miniature walkways within the house and begin shitting in buckets.

It's an absolute abomination of a place.
I’m going over for a look. Hopefully I don’t get banned again

Fmd, the prospect of a midfield rotation of Ross, Shiel, Crouch and Steele round 1 next year does not excite me.

Beige AF.

They dont. The compo pick isnt theres to give. It doesnt impact them beyond pushing their second pick back 1.

Its actually a really really simple equation.

Essendon get Gresham and $200ishk off their books.

We get Shiel, Gresh compo and take on $200sihk onto our books.

The scenario doesnt make any sense if we give up the compo. Wed be better off just taking band 2 or forcing a trade. Otherwise we are effectively paying $200k to swap Gresh for Shiel.
Exactly

Shiel is only contracted for one more year. We just take his coin for 12 months then we offer the same amount to Ben king.

So what did you say was the name of this place???

Asking for a friend............

I made the mistake of going to hard-core local joint and asked the guy to make a curry like the locals have it. Seriously thought I was going to die. I could hardly breathe. They trolled me.

But if you don't , the bastards give you some super mild curry like you get in a jar of KanTong or Chicken Tonight.

We have a joint like that here which ironically has a local nickname 'poison palace' lmfao

I would say with Membrey we wouldn't move him on would not be good look to the wider football community to move him on while he has mental issues.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play again. I heard a rumour that the knee issues keeping him out all year was just a cover storey. Not sure if i believe it though.
