Ha ha Membrey is grossly underrated he will get a late 2nd rounder at the right club.

GWS could do with Membrey if Riccardi leaves.
What would GWS have that you would want for him.
Pick 47, or a future 3rd.

After two seasons of injury, it will be hit or miss for him

Unless Coff tore his talent ligament as well as his ACL there’s absolutely zero reason why he cant get back to his best (and keep developing).

Would be a horrible loss if we were to lose him now.

Just listened to gettable. Not convinced Coff is gone. Lots of water to go under the bridge but we seem to be playing with fire. Don’t want to seem so desperate that we get low balled
Others I’d prefer to lose before Coff For sure. Especially if we lose him for next to nothing. He’s young and a top 10 pick who’s had lousy luck. Hope he backs himself in to get back into the side.

If we trade too many players it will set us back years.

We will already delist
Connolly
Highmore
Bytel
Peris ?
Jones ?
Mckenzie

+
Gresham
Clark?
Membrey?
Billings?
Coffield?
Paton?

That is a lot of bloody players. This will be bigger than our 2019 draft period
We usually turnover about that many every year

Coff might have an offer on the table from a club where he'll play some first team football. Can totally understand if he'd want a change of scene. We'd get nothing for him though.
Strange thing to say. He’d be playing first team football for the past 2 years if he wasn’t injured in that time.

Maybe Lyon doesn't see him in the plans though. I mean whose spot does he take at the moment? Maybe Stocker but I'd prefer Stocker.

I suspect we'd be offering him a one year deal and if he can get a better deal elsewhere with more opportunities he'll go.

You’ve forgotten how good Coff was tracking.

He’s a vastly better player than Stocker

Sadly I can see another Joel Smith situation coming.

Coffield was tracking to be an elite medium defender prior to his knee.
The club probably just wants some see some continuity in his training, and his footy before making him an offer.
He gets through the next 4-6 weeks (provided we play 1-2 finals) you’d expect we get the opportunity to see if his body can handle prolonged periods.

Given he’s spent the majority of his time in rehab, it may simply be that he’s not ready to play senior footy yet.

Lets leave the dick measuring contests to me.

Don't worry we'll get a 2nd rounder and a couple of thirds to rebuild with.

I’m pretty sure if we see the value in Coffield, the club will see it.

When was the last time we actually have up someone and regretted it? Without going all the way back to Joel Smith.

Unless an offer we couldn’t refuse came in, I’m sure he’ll be here next year.

Acres? Or were we too stupid to regret it?

He's been injured
I really like Coff but I'm just saying he hasn't played in two years and there could be a team out there that offers more than we are willing to.

I don't think Twomey knows much about it, it was an offhand remark that he doesn't see him staying, he didnt link us with other players or link any of our players with other teams it was largely just guesswork I think and I wouldn't take much from it.

What a team that will play him when he's done his ACL?

Yes and no.

Connolly
Highmore
Bytel
Peris
Jones
Coff
Mckenzie
Billings
Have played little or no part this year and last.
We won't miss them.

Pato has been found wanting and will be gone.
We won't miss him.

Gresham
Clark
Membrey
These are the only ones that might leave a hole if not replaced.
If Hayes can get fit and we can get just a couple of the suggested trades then it'll be job done and we don't miss them.

That said, l don't think they'll cut that many this year because you can't replace them all with quality.

Bytel
Peris
Jones
Coff
Are all worth another year's contract if they want to stay.

Membrey
Billings
Doogs
Are contracted next year so we'll get something for them or they'll stay.
Would give JB away for SC space.

And we'll get something for Gresh or he'll stay too.

That leaves only 5 genuine outs which is the right starting number.

We have Hotton and Gus on the shelf plus a good hand of developing talls, so as stavro has been saying all along We can burn some quantity for quality at the draft and we'll be apples.
Shifting out 7-8 this year and 5-6 next year is just a bit above average and will get it done without dredging the bottom of the talent pool, though to be fair our 2 best players came from exactly there.
