I get that if Essendon lodge at the last minute we can still make an offer but is that last call?

Does it mean that we can negotiate for a better offer from the dons or does it make it the first and last offer, no Hawks or Carlton bid at the last moment?
Don't discount a left field outcome with Gresham. Yet to formally nominate after all this time discussing contracts with Essendon.

I've been told that Hawthorn have been in contact with Gresham's management.

Assuming this is our hand after Gresham Dow and Coffield:

13,20,34,39

Still need to do Henry and move on Billings

Not sure we can possibly move up in the order from here.

Agree SOS has a pretty tough hand to do much this year. I think he is recalibrating our cap spend well it seems.

He would be pitching hard to the cats 13 & 34 for 8, some crazy deal for Haynes and a pick upgrade for 7 or a pick upgrade to 9 with Dodo. Just all very low chance I suspect

Also, they're all* prime numbers.

Except for 20, 34 & 39.

But with bidding, anything is possible.

I would love this to happen but I think it's really unlikely at this stage. Please please 🙏 please. Happy for him to be a gun for the Hawks.

What is the deal, I can't read it

It's a rehash from 8 hours ago of;

Port offered 24, Cats went LOL and Hawks not in picture, then they use emotive language like loggerheads and testy and how the two sides are giving each other the stink eye. Then pivoted to Gresh and it still not being done (as Dododerp) and that the sgt Shultz should GTFO out of Freo easily. Not sure about convo otherwise as never signed for nor going to on twitterX.

This needs to be put onto social media ASAP, hopefully one of the peanuts from fox or sen can run with it

Petty was described as “Melbourne Gun” this morning.

Fast and loose with the adjectives at this time of year
Petty is apparently worth 800k a year and a top 10 pick.

Someone should tell him they ****ed his sister again.

Because they both got lucky

Esava being better than pick 24 might be the wildest shit I’ve ever seen.

Freo and Collingwood need to do Schulz too.
Is Schulz valued higher than Henry would you think? Or vice versa...

So then either Schulz for #33 then Henry + #33 for #20

OR

Henry for #34 and Schulz + #34 for #19

Or some 3-way variation of the above.

Which might leave us with #13, #33, #34, #39

We might then be able to package up 2/3 of those second rounders for a late first from say Adelaide or Carlton...

Could leave us with #13, #20, #39, Henry with Dow still to do... (maybe a future 3rd?)
